June is finally here, meaning new TV shows to start and many more to look forward to. Looking to diversify your genre preferences? Look no further, we got you.

Here are a couple of our favourite picks for you this summer!

Wandavision

Okay, this show is slightly scary, considering that it talks about the downsides of artificial intelligence. But, really, you need to watch it pronto.

The show is set in the midst of a domestic, sedate, suburban location. However, the twist is that the concept of a nuclear family isn’t shown as something positive but futile. Thank you Marvel for eradicating archaic gender roles.

The premise of the show is that Wanda has created a suburban setting in order to create a safe haven for herself and Wanda. Soon, however, reality hits and Vision is gone. The suburban bliss is lost to the downsides of AI and technology.

This show is absolutely incredible if you’re looking for a sci-fi show to watch this summer.

Elite

This show is *quite literally* elite. The Spanish-language thriller is a golden find and more dynamic than any other show you’ll find on American TV.

Inhabiting the imaginary world of Elite, the high school of Las Encinas entails griping teenage machinations. From heartbreak to jealousy, this show captures the full range of emotions and is sure to confuse, anger and relieve you.

Amidst the trove of Spanish shows on Netflix, we truly believe that Elite stands out.

The Bold Type

The Bold Type centres on a trio of millennial women working at a women’s magazine called ‘Scarlet’.

The *extremely* relatable series, ‘The Bold Type’ hones in on the importance of the girl code and female empowerment, which is what we as a brand also stand for.

While working together on each issue of ‘Scarlet’, we are introduced to issues surrounding identity, or the lack thereof, confusing friendships and the characters’ struggle to find love.

Gossip Girl

Although the original franchise remains ICONIC, guess what? Good morning Upper East Siders, story goes that the reboot of the famous teen classic Gossip Girl will be *blessing* our screens this summer. While the original drama told the story of an outsider breaking into high society, the new Gen Z version deals crucially reflect the NYC of today.

We are so excited to watch the new cast and what this show has in store for us.

Release date: July 2021

Gilmore Girls

A true classic of the most iconic mother-daughter bond *ever*.

The show is a coming-of-age drama that deals with the waxes and wanes of Rory’s teenage years – from love triangles to college aspirations, the show covers it all.

The show gives you a road map to better understand how to connect on a deeper level with family members and people in the community.
