While The Bold Type has been around for a while, thanks to its latest release on Netflix, its garnered a whole new crowd and audience. Based on real life former Cosmo EIC Joanna Coles‘ life, this is one show that deffo has our seal of approval. And while we love the NYC vibes, the non-toxic work environment and women kicking butt – we’ve all been wondering one thing. Who are these people? Well, if you’ve also found yourself trying to IG-stalk our fave boss women (and men), look no further and allow me to help out.

Meet the people behind your fave characters:

Katie Stevens as Jane Sloan

Our leading lady, Jane Sloan is played by up-and-coming actor Katie Stevens. Originally of Portugese descent, Katie has been a long-time performer having been super active in her local theatre communtiy growing up. Katie also auditioned to be on American Idol in 2009 and even made it to the top nine before being eliminated. After her elimination, she appeared on several renowned talk shows such as The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the Late Show with David Letterman and the Wendy Williams Show before assuming the role of the Jane Sloan we know and love.

Meghann Fahy as Sutton Brady

Aside from being the most *pure* character ever, who is Sutton Brady aka Meghann Fahy? Well, no stranger to the limelight, Meghann is a long time Broadway performer. Performing in productions such as Next to Normal and The Unauthorized Autobiography of Samantha Brown, Meghann is truly the queen of acting. She even partook in a one-night concert reading of Twilight: The Musical! Meghan has previously worked for TV as well, having played the role of Hannah O’Connor on American soap opera One Life to Live. Best of all, she even made a cameo on Gossip Girl! Seriously, what hasn’t she done?

Aisha Dee as Kat Edison

The Australian actress and singer landed her first major acting role on the Australian-Canadian children’s series The Saddle Club. Her cameos and performances include acting on Dead Gorgeous, I Hate My Teenage Daughter and Chasing Life. She also performed in the Syfy horro- anthology series Channel Zero: No-End House before finally becoming known to us as the fierce, kicka*s Kat we all want to be.

Melora Hardin as Jacqueline Carlyle

Just like her character, Melora Hardin is quite the accomplished, boss woman! Having been around for quite a while, she’s a household name and familiar face within the realms of Hollywood. Since beginning her acting career in 1976, she’s starred in over 40 movies including some of our faves such as 27 Dresses, 17 Again and Hannah Montana: The Movie. Melora has also been on 75 TV shows (and counting) having played recurring roles in Dirty Dancing and The Office and making cameos on Friends and Gilmore Girls. Jacqueline/Melora, we’re obsessed with you.

Samuel Page as Richard Hunter

Ummm, I just have to preface this one by saying Sam Page might very well be the love of my life. Now that being said, Sam is quite the familiar face in Hollywood as well! Having graced our screens performing on classic shows such as Desperate Housewives and 7th Heaven, he’s been part of the industry for over 20 years. Sam has also received credits for performing on Gossip Girl, Switched At Birth and Scandal! Quite the performer, eh? Now how unfair is it to have that much talent *and* look that good?

Matt Ward as Alex Crawford

Originally from Alberta, Canada, Matt Ward is an actor known for his roles on the CW’s Arrow and the movie Charlie St. Cloud. Matt is apparently not just an actor, but a dancer, singer and choreographer as well. Talk about a jack of all trades! He also performed in the movie Lullaby for Pi, where he self-taught himself how to play Jazz Piano just off of YouTube videos! Mind blown.

Stephen Conrad Moore as Oliver Grayson

While we don’t know a whole lot about Stephen Conrad Moore, we love Oliver! Stephen is not new to the television scene, having played recurring roles on Fox’s Empire and Hulu’s The Path. He’s also made cameos on The Blacklist, Chicago PD, and The Good Fight.

Nikohl Boosheri as Adena El-Amin

Queen of representation for those of us on this side of the world, Nikohl Boosheri is quite the fan-favourite! Portraying the stereotype-defying, feminist Adena El-Amin, Nikohl is perfect for the role. The Persian-Canadian actress has made cameos on Supergirl and other Canadian series but her role on The Bold Type was her first recurring role. And honestly, we couldn’t even tell because of how *good* she is!
