Earlier this month, Sarah Jessica Parker revealed that there will be a SATC reboot (yay!!) and the Internet kicked off. It really doesn’t get more iconic, or nostalgic, than Carrie Bradshaw coming back to our screens. Although Kim Cattrall, also known as Samantha from Sex and the City, won’t be joining the rest of the girls for the reboot – we can’t wait to see Carrie, Charlotte and Miranda in a modern-day setting.Â
The show’s revival but even be more relatable than we expected it to be.Â
Sarah Jessica Parker revealed that COVID-19 will “obviously be part of the storyline,” especially as the characters are set in New York City, and the pandemic hit the city hard.Â
In an interview with Vanity Fair, SJP discussed what ‘And Just Like That’s‘ storyline could entail. She’s expecting the new writers to include new “life experience, political world views, and social world views,” – and she’s even speculating on whether Carrie will have a podcast in 2021.Â
“I think that Cynthia, Kristin, and I are all excited about the time that has passed. You know, who are they in this world now? Have they adapted? What part have they played? Where have they fallen short as women, as friends, and how are they finding their way?”
HBO Max have yet to confirm the release date or how the reboot’s plot will differ, but we’re super excited to see Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte in their 50’s, navigating life in 2021.Â
Sarah Jessica Parker added, “I’m so curious and excited to see how the writers imagine these women today.” Same, sister.Â
