Taylor Swift has just been cast in a movie directed by David O’Russell and we seriously can’t contain our excitement. The pop star will be working alongside some of the biggest names in Hollywood, which is very exciting news for fellow Swifties. Here’s everything we know about the massive project so far.
It appears that the Grammy-winning singer has her eyes set on the movie industry. And this was not her first appearance on screen; she has also appeared in The Lorax, The Giver, New Girl, and… CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (a little rogue, but OK!)
Taylor will be sharing the screen with megastars Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, John David Washington, Rami Malek and Zoe Saldana.
Isn’t that a *dreamy* lineup?
Director David O. Russell is the mastermind behind some of our fave movies including American Hustle, Joy and Silver Linings Playbook.
The film’s title and plot details are yet to be revealed, but we do know that it will be released by Disney’s 20th Century Studios.
Taylor is not the only music artist making the transition to the silver screen right now. Harry Styles recently wrapped production on Olivia Wilde’s psychological thriller, Don’t Worry Darling.
Lady Gaga will also appear in the upcoming film House Of Gucci, which is based on the true story of haute couture founder Guccio Gucci’s grandchild, Maurizio Gucci’s, murder.
Also, Ariana Grande decides to join Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence on this year’s Don’t Look Up. What an exciting year for the music and film industry!
