Over the last year, Netflix has slowly become our saving grace through this pandemic. But even as things start to open back up and we’re finding our way back to (somewhat of) a normal life—we’re still loving our daily dose of telly.

That being said, Bridgerton was an especially ~great~ addition to our lives. And boy, does the whole world feel the same! Turns out, the leading gentleman, swoon-worthy Regé-Jean Page—aka Simon Basset Simon Basset, Duke of Hastings—was crowned actor with the *highest* spike in followers a month after a show’s release.

The *amazing* people over at USwitch did God’s work, and by that I mean did some digging on all the goss about our favourite shows, and they’ve told us *all* the teaaaa. So, wondering how many users flocked to get more of the Duke? I’ll tell ya, it’s a whopping 3,792,607! I mean, I can deffo see why.

Following him is Outer Banks star Madelyn Cline who gained a ~casual~ 2,738,547 more followers after the series premiered on Netflix in April 2020.

And in third is none other than our very own Emily in Paris‘ Lily Collins. Granted Lily was already quite the star, but the show saw an increase in her followers by… 2,241,308! Wow.

Viewers around the world were also asked to rank the top 20 shows of 2020. And guess who snagged first place? None other than Lady Whistledown’s Bridgerton! Um, I didn’t participate in that survey but if I did—that would be one more vote for them.

Tiger King,  I May Destroy You, WandaVision and The Queen’s Gambit all made it in to the top five respectively.

2020 was a good year for entertainment and honestly, I can’t wait for new seasons of all these uh-mazing shows—it is no longer a want, it’s a need!
