The year 2020 has been off to a *great* start, what with ongoing pandemics, self-isolation measures and cancellations of everything from weddings to productions to Fashion Weeks. (Here’s a helpful list in case you need to keep track).
And, well, the internet’s favourite coping mechanism for impending doom and disaster has always been memes – bc who doesn’t love a good meme? And what better occasion to unleash ’em given the torrential downpour and lightning strikes that came out of nowhere over the last two days?Â

So we figured that in the light of everything that’s been afoot we all could really use a couple laughs. This goes out to the bored quarantiners and procrastinating WFH gang. PSA:Â It’s okay to lie in bed eating Cheetos.
Take a mental break and check out this list of some hilarious tweets that broke the internet after the skies started spitting icy hail on the country last night:
experts: "we're hoping the virus will slow down in the heat like other flus"
dubai, notoriously hot for most of the year: "here's some rain in mid-March"

Dang it, Kim!
Me: self-isolation with 3 kids is hard, but at least here in the UAE, we have the weather that means they can play out in the garden.
