Joining Nick Viall on The Viall Files was Love is Blind‘s controversial star Micah Lussier who hoped to shed some light on her relationship with Paul Peden on the Netflix dating show.
As expected, there were some major truth bombs that the Seattle native dropped, including the I-don’t-envision-you-as-a-mother comments made by Paul, that charged moment with Kwame by the pool, and the caught-on-camera drama between Micah’s friend and her connection. Buckle up, y’all, it’s going to be a wild ride.
Check out the 12 jaw-dropping secrets we found out from this one-hour-long podcast episode with Micah Lussier below…
Micah spent the entire day of her wedding crying

Micah revealed that she felt like she was walking up to the end of her relationship. “In the days leading up to the wedding, there was no reassurance at all on Paul’s end,” she continued. The Love is Blind cast member also pointed out that there was a huge pressure from the production to make The Decision at the altar.
She was super-drunk during that pool party conversation with Kwame

During the ~infamous~ incident on the show, Micah revealed that she was intoxicated and “Kwame could’ve been Paul”. “It was a disaster, we both disrespected our fiancées,” she said. Micah thought Kwame was still hurt from the breakup and was overcompensating. We’ve all been there.
Micah and Irina are friends, but is she still in touch with the other cast members?

“We both displayed immaturity and if I expect people to believe that I can grow up I should give her that same respect,” Micah said, talking about her friendship with fellow contestant Irina Solomona.
When asked if she’s still in touch with Love is Blind contestants after the airing, the 26-year-old said that everyone dropped her after seeing the media’s reaction. The minute the public started turning on her, they didn’t want to be dragged down. “It was kind of a bummer,” she concluded.
She thinks Zack was being too harsh on Irina during the reunion

Micah addressed the Zack-Irina mess by pointing out his hypocrisy. “I don’t know what Zack was on but it was too much for me. She was sitting there trying to apologize. It’s just like, dig after dig after dig, and to say that someone’s not there for the right reasons,” she pointed out.
“You’ve plugged your Instagram just in this reunion four different times. Who’s here for fame? You’re the one making all these videos, doing all this stuff, she’s been on ghost mode for weeks,” concluded Micah. Speak your truth, girl!
Micah clears the air about that Amber crying moment

Micah talked about how the whole situation was turned against her unfairly. She said, “People were really upset that I was laughing at Amber crying. How the hell would I see Amber when she was across the room, two stairs down, behind a wall crying? I can see through the wall now? They could show me laughing as a reaction shot to literally anything.”
She added, “I may have been laughing — nervous laughing. I was like, “Did Paul break up with her or am I getting dumped?”
Micah was “ready for a brawl” between the Josh-Jackie-Marshall triangle at the reunion

When asked for her thoughts on the reality series‘ most chaotic pairing, Micah said, “Jackie and Josh have a better vibe on paper together.” We can’t disagree with her! Reflecting on the end of Jackie and Marshall‘s connection, she said, “Their ending was a little chaotic, they could’ve given each other a lot more respect.”
Micah had ~things~ to say about the TikTok-viral moment of Paul caressing her friend
@storytimewithrikkii Replying to @heatherpower2016 What do you guys think of this interaction between Paul and Micah’s Bridesmaid? Innocent or Intentional?🤔 #micahandpaul #paulandmicah #loveisblindseason4 #loveisblindseason4recap #greenscreen #greenscreenvideo credit to @thegabbi.rielle ♬ original sound – storytimewithrikkii
This one’s a *doozy*. We all saw THAT video making the rounds on TikTok countless times, right? Paul’s defense was that he was trying to guide himself on his walk toward the doorway.
Well, what does Micah really think about it? “She didn’t look pissed,” she said, talking about her friend who she didn’t name. “I don’t think there were bad intentions from her or Paul,” she said, before changing her mind quickly, “Paul’s being weird now, now that you talk about it, I’m starting to get pissed.” 😬
“I was giving him the benefit of the doubt,” she concluded. Oh, girl…
She has mixed feelings about Shelby laughing at her while she cried after the rejection

Remember when Paul said “no” to Micah and her friend Shelby laughed it off? How could we forget that? Turns out, we weren’t the only ones who were shocked at Shelby’s reaction.
“Whoa, what the hell? I am heartbroken. You should probably be chasing after me and not having a good time in the crowd,” recalled Micah of her conversation with Shelby when they watched the episode together afterward. Awks. She also went on to justify Shelby’s reaction… I think? Apparently, Shelby was scared that Micah would be embarrassed if Paul popped the question and she ended up saying “yes”. You’re confused? I’m confused.
Micah thinks Paul would have made a different decision if he asked and she said yes
“Paul would’ve made a different decision if he didn’t go first,” said Micah. “There’s a chance he would’ve said yes if I said yes. But that’s a real marriage and I didn’t wanna spend the rest of my life being like — Does this guy even wanna marry me?” Amen to that, sis.
“Maybe he would’ve said yes but for what reason,” Micah concluded.
Micah and Paul *did* date after the wedding
A shocker, right? Turns out, Micah and Paul started dating right after the mess of a finale. “We kept talking after the finale over the phone,” she said. Paul is the one who alluded to the fact that the two were in a relationship, it seems. He even visited her in Arizona and “it was good.”
So, what happened after? Neither of them was putting in enough effort. “Our hearts weren’t in it anymore,” said Micah. She ended things because she didn’t feel chosen or wanted and was losing her interest too. They don’t talk at all now.
Micah was devastated by the “mother” comment
Now that we’ve all had enough time to reflect, let’s face it, that comment was out of pocket and just not it. Micah feels the same. “It sent me into oblivion, he’s never talked to me about that before so it was so weird,” she said. “Why twist the knife? Why did you want to date me afterward?” Fair.
She feels bad about coming off as a “mean girl” throughout the show
The experience of being on a reality dating show can be a life-changing one for many. We tend to view contests as one-note characters and not as real human beings. Obviously, this seems to have affected Micah as well.
“The mean girl edit put a damper on my storyline,” she said. “No one was able to see my journey with Paul. See it as genuine. I wish I could’ve owned up to my part in it and clear the air. Things are just not how they look. Things were taken so far out of proportion. I wish there was more time to dive into everything.”
Micah added, “I wish they showed Paul and I actually falling in love. We had so much fun together, we were always laughing. Our personalities were so aligned.” 🥺
