Love is Blind season 4 has just released their second batch of episodes which show the newly engaged couples of the series moving in together, manoeuvring life, and going back to their regular lives prior to the *big* wedding days. 27 year old Jackelina Bonds “Jackie” from the fourth instalment of the viral Netflix series got engaged to Marshall Glaze in the pods, and their honeymoon in Mexico was definitely ~rollercoaster~ of emotions.
During her time in the pods, Jackelina Bonds was conflicted between choosing two men, Marshall or Josh Demas. Ultimately, Jackie settled with Marshall as he was “emotionally available. He’s able to handle my spiciness, my attitude. He knows how to basically make sure that I’m feeling good and solid,” she stated in her confessional.
Although we don’t know yet whether or not Jackie and Marshall made it to the aisle and said ‘I do’, we’re still fans and rooting for the dental assistant. She’s very close to her family
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly Jackie revealed that her breakdown during the Love is Blind Mexico episodes were because ‘she was dealing with a lot back home’. Her caption states: “My father at the time was fighting Stage 2 Head and Neck Cancer, had a feeding tube in his stomach, had the back of his tongue removed and had 11 cancerous lymph nodes removed from his neck a few months before I filmed the show. I come home every weekend to make sure I pay his bills, clean the house, and make sure my father and mother are good.
I felt guilty being happy and enjoying my time in Mexico because my family deserves time away. My “mental breakdown” in Mexico was all the emotions of being head of the house, having my family depending on me and having the weight of my emotions and feelings all colliding at once. I will always take care of my father, cancer will never take him from me. ❤️”
It’s clear that Jackie’s a strong, independent, and inspirational woman. We’re wishing the reality TV star nothing but happiness.
