Netflix has been working on a documentary about Britney Spears, one to rival Hulu’s ‘Framing Britney Spears‘ docu-film. According to Bloomberg, the documentary and investigation has been in the works for the last 2 and a half years.

Last week Netflix’s socials posted teasers and images of the new release, giving fans some more information on the documentary.

In one of the clips there’s a voicemail Britney left for her lawyer regarding her conservatorship.

The documentary will be following the same story as ‘Framing Britney Spears,’ discussing the misogynistic treatment of the young star by the press and the famous conservatorship imposed on her by her father. This is also coming at a pivotal time of Britney Spears‘ life as Jamie, her father has petitioned for her conservatorship to end.

‘Britney vs Spears‘ directed by Erin Lee Carr will be released on 28 September.
