The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) has announced the emergency registration of the Pfizer vaccine. This shows UAE’s integrated efforts to ensure prevention against the pandemic and provide all the necessary tools for the country’s health and safety.

The UAE is already giving the Sinopharm vaccine to citizens and residents, so this will be the second vaccine available in the country.

The first batch of the Pfizer vaccine was transported from Brussels to Dubai on an Emirates SkyCargo flight.

How effective is the vaccine? 

The Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine has shown to be safe and effective in the late-stage clinical trials at preventing Covid-19. The vaccine is 95.3% effective in men and 93.9% effective in women.

How much does the vaccine cost in the UAE? 

According to the official announcement, the vaccine is free for citizens and residents, just like the Sinopharn vaccine, which is already being distributed in the UAE.

Where can you get the Pfizer vaccine in Dubai?

According to sources, the vaccine will be availabe at four health centres in Dubai: Zabeel, Al Barsha, Nad Al Hammar and Al Mamzar.Â
