Btw if you’re yet to finish watching Season 2 you may not want to keep reading as spoilers are below.

Just as Season 1 ended tragically, Season 2 followed suit and if you want to recap the ending or understand what happened…we’re here to break it down.

The main theme for S2 was the impact of social media on young people with character Sarah on a mission to find fame like the most popular girl in class, Tasneem.

However, it was Tasneem’s cousin, Farah who ended her own life during the season finale.

Farah was a gossip who was chasing fame, always asking Tasneem for invites to parties and she volunteered to become Tasneem’s campaign manager during the elections. Even though she was always helping her cousin, she was always ignored by the ‘it’ girls.

Farah, a talented singer, wanted the world to notice her but she was not allowed to perform in the school show and was left to take care of backstage duties.

When Sarah stepped down from starring in the show, Farah thought it was her chance to be in the spotlight, but it wasn’t.

Tasneem’s friends did not agree when Tasneem suggested Farah should perform as they believed Farah lacked the star quality to be in the limelight and she was left to backstage duties.

During AlRawabi School for Girls‘ ending, Farah sang her heart out to an empty auditorium and was surprised to see Hiba watching. Hiba was impressed by Farah’s voice, but reminded her that she did not have what it took to become a performer.

The show went on and Farah was left heartbroken as she watched everyone perform on stage while she was left in the shadows.

She was hurt even more when Shams, an aspiring film maker, screened the documentary she’d been filming at school which included embarrassing shots of Farah trying to find social media fame.

Farah was humiliated and she could not watch the entire documentary because of the way she was portrayed at the very beginning, she left the auditorium and locked herself in the bathroom.

Hiba noticed Farah leave the auditorium and searched for her, but by the time Hiba found her in the toilet, she had taken her own life.
