Last night Dubai’s elite Housewives got together to watch the premiere of Bravo’s very first international franchise of Real Housewives– The Real Housewives of Dubai. Obviously, when this news was revealed back in November 2021, we were *more* than excited, and finally, all the anticipation has been worth it as the first episode of the reality TV show is ~filled~ with piping. Hot. Tea.
Chanel Ayan, Caroline Brooks, Caroline Stanbury, Nina Ali, Lesa Milan, and Dr. Sara Al Madani took to our screens (exclusively on OSN+ btw,) and made our Wednesday night that much more interesting. From a hen-do and a casual ice delivery to intense confrontations and Chanel Ayan saying “I’m a badass bi***” in four languages- we’re in for a bumpy ride this season.

The Intro
Each of the Housewives’ taglines were obviously pure 🔥🔥🔥, and their narration while a timelapse of Dubai’s evolution was the perfect way to start the season. Let’s not forget Dr Sara Al Madani casually riding an ATV through sand dunes while saying “now that I look at my life and I’m like, would I ever live anywhere else?” To which she obvs replies: “Hell no.”

Although Nina and Caroline Stanbury are close, the housewife couldn’t say the same about Caroline and another one of the Housewives. “Lesa is best friends with Ayan but the three of us do very well together,” Nina said. “Stanbury and I are very close but it’s a different story between her and the other two. Sara is new to the group but that woman can fit in anywhere. And then there’s Brooks.”Â

Don’t worry, the feud between the Housewives isn’t intense juuuuust yet. Model Chanel Ayan recapped her history with previous ‘Ladies of London‘ star Caroline Stanbury, putting the rumours of their friendship to rest. “I’ve met Caroline Stanbury on a couple of occasions. I just think our energy did not match, she was very friendly to Lesa and Nina and Brooks, did not try to talk to me or get to know me, which is weird because we have very good friends in common. Plus, I’m f–king amazing.”

It’s not news that the UAE is especially hot during the summer, so much so that even cooling off in your (private) pool in at (your very expensive) home isn’t enough. So casually, while swimming with her children, fashion designer Lesa ordered 4,400 Dirhams worth of giant ice cubes to add to her pool.

After splitting from her husband in December 2021, now married-Caroline Stanbury found the lohl- former Real Madrid soccer player Sergio Carallo. Also known as her ‘toy boy’ as she put it. FYI Sergio is 20 years younger than the Real Housewives of Dubai star (in case you were wondering.)

The Hen-Do ~chaos~

As Nina Ali put it, “what happens in the ocean, stays in the ocean.” Caroline Stanbury hosted her Hen-Do (AKA Bachelorette party) on a Yacht with a couple of close friends. Things to note: Chanel Ayan not getting invited, the messy dancing, but an all around good time. It was definitely entertaining to watch.
And finally, the Housewives dinner

It’s not a Real Housewives premiere without the rite-of-passage dinner, which included actual sage this episode. Chanel kicked off by asking the group to stop talking about Caroline’s party as she wasn’t invited- “I just want to talk about something that’s more interesting, that I can have a conversation about,” she told her co-stars. “That’s my opinion. If I wasn’t there, I don’t give a s–t. Don’t wanna know.”
The episode ended with Caroline and Chanel butting heads, and we don’t think things will be resolved any time soon. Eeeeek.
