This topic might probably be up for debate, as not many of us have nice things to say about supportive exes, but moreso about toxic exes. However, Hollywood has a different story to tell from a few of the supportive ex-moments we have seen over the years.
I mean, we have seen supportive friendships but exes are a whole lot of tea. After Harry Styles and Taylor Swift’s cute moments at the 2023 Grammy’s, we just can’t *not* share other huge celeb moments that scream ~healing~ (IYKYK).
Check out below the true definition of supportive exes:

First and foremost, we have the most famous duo who has been spiraling social media recently with their encounter at the 2023 Grammys. Videos of Taylor Swift dancing to Harry Styles‘s performance have been circulating all over our feed and fans are here showing their support and love for this reunion. Some pictures from the event also show them having a little chit-chat which we’re living for.

Look at that cute fistbump!!
Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt

This duo has always been a fan favourite since their adorable dating rumours, and this iconic encounter at the SGA awards in 2020 was all people could talk about.
Not only did they have a small chit-chat on the red carpet, but they both won awards at this ceremony, and what really caught people’s eyes was the backstage video where Brad Pitt stood before the TV to watch Jennifer Aniston give her speech. ~Cute~
For a second we all thought there was something more to this gesture but unfortunately, there wasn’t, and they were just being really good friends supporting each other. Similar to the most recent “zoom date” they had. Now this is a true definition of supportive exes

Another iconic supportive exes moment we will never forget (!!)
How awkward is it to see your ex unexpectedly right after you break up, and that too in front of a large audience? We don’t know, ask Bella Hadid!
This breakup of the century was a heartbreak to all of us but what was iconic is the encounter of these exes on the most famous runway of the 2016 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Let’s talk about the way Bella mesmerized The Weeknd with her lewk and how well they ended up supporting each other on stage.
Jenny Slate and Chris Evans

Exes Jenny and Chris attended the premiere of their movie Gifted in 2017 after splitting up, and the vibes were…cordial. But, keeping all their past behind they shook hands to star in the movie Gifted together, as the movie producers saw the unmatched chemistry between them.
Jenny Slate also brought her friend Mae Whitman as her date and while it could’ve been awkward, the respect and support they had for each other took over.
Selena Gomez and Nick Jonas

We’ve all had that moment where we’ve (longingly?) glanced over at our ex. Well, that was the case for Selena as the public started making speculations after this image of her flirtatiously looking at Nick Jonas at the VMAS in 2015. She later explained:
“We were actually talking about the event for a little bit because I didn’t see him there, and I told him I liked his performance. Then, I said hi to Joe, and we were talking. But we grew up together! You know, it’s so nice to be able to see people and talk about life. I mean, I’ve seen him a couple of times but evidentially that photo was crazy.”
Love how they are moving past their awkward phrase and decided to support each other.
Ed Sheeran and Ellie Goulding

Having to cross paths with your ex while he shows up with his new girlfriend? Ouch!
Glad we could move past the awkward stage…I guess? Ed Sheeran wrote the song, Don’t, about Ellie Goulding, which both of them are very well aware of, since it led to speculations saying, Ellie had cheated on Ed Sheeran with Niall Horan. Let’s take the friendly hug above as a supportive ex moment though, for all of our sanity.
