Born in the Royal Borough situated on the River Thames, India was raised in Twickenham by her father of Ghanaian origin and mother of German origin.
She began her career in West End theatre
Like many young actors, India Amarteifio began her career in theatre. She made her debut as young Nala in The Lion King after which she played Hortensia in Matilda the Musical. India also starred as Violet Beauregarde in Charlie and the Chocolate factory.
She was on Doctor Who
In 2015, India starred in the 9th series of British sci-fi television show Doctor Who where she starred as Alison in the episode “The Magician’s Apprentice” alongside Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman.
She went to the Richmond Academy of Dance
