Last night, the world came together for a great cause.

Organised by Lady Gaga in collaboration with the charitable organisation, Global Citizen, a virtual international concert aired. One World: Together At Home saw some of your favourite artists, from Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga to Beyoncé and Jennifer Lopez. These big names joined forces to put on breathtaking performances in celebration of the healthcare workers around the world who are a massive help during this pandemic

The concert included a six-hour pre-show, which was available to stream online before the two-hour main event, which aired online and on television.

During these difficult and confusing times, this uplifting content is exactly what we need to see. Scroll down to see some of the best moments from the worldwide event last night…

Beyoncé gave a beautiful speech

Queen B blessed our screens and said: “tonight, we celebrate true heroes, those who are making the ultimate sacrifice to keep us all safe, fed and healthy. To the doctors, nurses and other healthcare workers who are away from their families to take care of ours, we continue to pray for your safety.”

Taylor Swift sang ‘Soon You’ll Get Better’

The Lover artist’s performance was an emotional one. She sang a touching song from her latest album, which was originally written for her mother following her cancer diagnosis.

Billie Eilish and Finneas sang a more upbeat tune

Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas decided to sing ‘Sunny‘ by Bobby Hebb. In the video Billie describes that this was one of her favourite ‘feel-good’ songs, and she wanted to share it with the world so they could feel good too. We can’t not love her.

John Legend & Sam Smith perform “Stand By Me”

This unexpected, but amazing duo sang ‘Stand By Me’ by Ben E. King. Safe to say, this rendition is like no other.

Lady Gaga sang a moving version of “Smile”

Along with being the host of the night, this icon performed ‘Smile‘ by Nat King Cole. Not only did she give a beautiful and uplifting performance, but she also gave a few words at the beginning about how she’s honoured to be apart of the World Health Organization and Global Citizen, as well as helping out with raising money for the Solidarity Response Fund
