Coachella, also known as one of the trendiest music festivals in the world, loved by celebs and influencers alike, may get cancelled. Yes, really. So hold off on your festival finery that you’ve added to your cart, because you may have to wait a while before attending this three-day concert. Due to the outbreak of Coronavirus, officials and concert organisers are seriously considering moving the festival dates to later on in the year.Â
*Pretends to be shocked*Â
According to Billboard, “officials with promoter Goldenvoice are working on a plan to try and move the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio, California, to the weekends of Oct. 9 and Oct. 16 in an attempt to save the event from cancellation amid concerns about the coronavirus outbreak.”
There have been three more coronavirus cases found in Riverside County where the festival takes place. It’s not surprising to see Coachella’s organisers taking precautions, especially since there are an average of 250,000 concert-goers every year.Â
This year’s line up included Frank Ocean, Travis Scott, Lana del Rey, Summer Walker and many more iconic artists. Too bad we may have to wait till October to see them. Organisers will know in 48 hours whether or not the festival may be moved to later dates, if not, then one of the world’s biggest festivals will be cancelled this year.Â
