Well, look no further than Kylie Jenner, who took to Instagram to show off her new paint job: a matte, rainbow coloured French manicure.
It might have escaped your notice (I mean, I literally don’t know how), but we are in the midst of not only a pandemic, but also a ’00s fashion and beauty revival.
It’s why all the cool kids on TikTok have those hair clips you wore back in year 7 and why lip gloss and chunky highlights have finally made the comeback they so urgently needed.
We already knew that Kylie was fully onboard with this trend, after she showed off her own blonde streaks earlier this week, but it appears she’s taken it up a notch with her tribute to Elle Woods’ favourite manicure.
A traditional French is usually a sheer pink, with white tips and is as glossy as can be, but that does not mean that we aren’t here for Kylie’s matte rainbow version.

But as much as we love Kylie’s mani, we are slightly concerned that like Kendall Jenner and Cardi B, she doesn’t appear to be sticking to the lockdown rules the rest of us have to abide by.
What makes it worse is that she literally just moved into a £30 million mansion complete with swimming pool and tennis court.
As someone that’s currently residing in a 2 bed ground floor flat, I can’t imagine how she’s already explored 14 bathrooms, let alone got bored of them.
For now, I’ll give Kylie the benefit of the doubt and hope that she’s just taken up a new interest in nail art.
