We can all agree that self-isolation (and the lockdown extensions) has not been a walk in to park and even the royals can relate to this. In an interview with BBC about the coronavirus pandemic, Prince William and Kate talked about what they’ve been up to in the past three weeks.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are parents to Prince George, 6, Princess Charlotte, 4, and Prince Louis, who turns 2 next week, so it’s safe that they have been pretty pre-occupied in the last few weeks. “You pitch a tent, take the tent down again, cook, bake. You get to the end of the day and they have had a lovely time – but it is amazing how much you can cram into one day, that’s for sure,” says the Duchess when asked about how she keeps them entertained.

When asked about their current exercise regime, Prince William replied, “We’ve been for the odd walk, the odd bike ride as well. So we keep the children busy and active and healthy. We haven’t quite done the Joe Wicks workout that everyone else seems to be doing although we are not far off. That might happen at some point.”

Joe took to Instagram to comment on the Duke and Duchess’ desire to join his classes. He captioned the post: “Prince William and Kate, Now that would be an absolute honour if they joined us with #pewithjoe on Monday. Do you think they will do #FancyDressFriday too? Comment below and tag @kensingtonroyal if you think they should get involved on Monday.

The fitness guru has been the designated P.E teacher for the kids over the past few weeks – he’s been making training videos for them on Youtube – and plans to donate all revenue from the videos to the NHS.Â
