I created Instagram filters to show my love for these Middle Eastern countries

When lockdown first started, my feelings were all over the place. Did this mean I could take a step back and relax or were all eyes on me to come out looking like a nineties runway supermodel?

There’s always been so much that I’ve wanted to do; a bucket list, if you will. Things like skydiving, swimming with sharks or backpacking through Europe (by that I deffo mean chilling at a five star resort). The dawn of quarantine was upon us and those things were impossible to do, so the next best thing? Instagram filters. I mean have you seen the Duabi-based artist's IG filter that all the celebrities have been obsessed with?

I was really missing my family and friends in Jordan and decided to create a filter for them to show my love and support during these difficult times.

When I say I watched YouTube tutorial after YouTube tutorial, I mean I fell asleep dreaming about how to create your own IG filter *the butterfly ones are always my favourite*. And it was so worth it!

Take a look for yourselves…

1. For Jordan

2. Palestinian Pride

Remember those butterfly filters I said I loved so much?

3. Papillon

And who doesn't love flowers?!

4. Flower Power

You can find these filters on my Instagram @layla.k.saleh. All you have to do is press this smiley button.

And voilà!

We can't wait to see the creative selfies and looks you come up with!

Oh, and be sure to keep an eye out for more filters, flags and freckles coming your way soon...
