Ikram Abdi Omar is certainly blazing that trail for hijabi women in the fashion industry. The model starred in a Burberry campaign last year, marking the first time the British fashion house had used a hijabi model in a festive advert, and now, Ikram is the face of Diane Von Furstenberg X The Outnet.

The 13-piece capsule collection comes in a range of DVF’s signature bold hues, with dresses, jumpsuits, tops and skirts making up the collection. Ikram styled the top and skirt with a black roll neck underneath, a black turban and statement drop earrings.

The 23-year-old model of Somali heritage was born in Sweden and raised in the UK, where she was attending university before she got scouted by Premier Model Management in the spring of 2018. She decided to fully pursue modelling after she found it difficult to juggle work and uni.
