Did you hear that sound? It was our New Year resolutions hitting the pavement after we tossed them out the window on our way to Saturday brunch (for the second weekend in a row). Yes, we *may* have overindulged in one too many parties last holiday szn and promised ourselves a new year, new me attitude. But life is short, and we love to eat. At our last brunch though, we noticed that our selfies are lacking something. Facial contours.
To get them back asap we’re trying out the Inmode Celebrity Glow Forma treatment. We headed down to BodySmart in the La Mer area of Jumeirah 1 to try out the Celebrity Glow Forma treatment for ourselves. It sounds great in theory, but would our skin type get the right results? Are we too old or young for the treatment? We had a lot of burning questions about the Celebrity Glow Forma and luckily, Bodysmart’s Cosmetologist and Laser Therapist, Kinga Syzmanska, answered them all.
It turns out “there is no particular skin type or age restrictions for this procedure. It works well for everyone in their late 20s and older. I wouldn’t, however, treat clients with inflamed acne or rosacea due to the excessive heat the machine delivers to the skin.” Fair enough and if you do have those skin issues, Bodysmart has other treatments you can hit up first to clear up your skin.
After a luxurious collagen-boosting facial massage, Kinga put some cold conductive gel on our skin and got to work. Ngl, between our puffy cheeks and blurry jawline, she had her work cut out for her. Kinga mentioned that in addition to treating “a loss of facial contour and sagging skin, the Celebrity Glow Forma treatment also improves skin texture, swelling, wrinkles, and dullness.” Perfect, cuz lately we feel like we’re hitting all those categories. *cries*
Bracing ourselves for a zap or zing, we contracted nearly every muscle in our body before the wand came into contact with our skin. We were pleasantly surprised to find that it actually diffused a relaxing, warm sensation. Kinga continuously massaged the wand on our face and we let go of all our tension. That was *literally* it. The treatment was so chill that we temporarily dozed off and caught a few zzz’s.
Hello, cheekbones
Lifted eyebrows, a (re)discovery of the jawline, and perky cheekbones make this relaxing treatment so very worth it.
Before we knew it, Kinga told us that she was done. We reluctantly got up (can’t blame us, the bed was comfy) and headed towards the mirror. Within a second of staring at our reflection, we totes saw the difference. Tightened up jawline and some newly carved out cheekbones too.
