Yep, you heard right, 2022 is off to a much better start than we think (and we have the Desperate Housewives to thank for that.)

On New Year’s Eve, the ABC hit show took to their Twitter posting an image of the original cast captioning, “*desperately* waiting for 2022.” And now we’re *desperately* searching for the answers as to what that means exactly.

Many fans believe that a Desperate Housewives revival series or even a reunion is in the works.

Desperate Housewives, similar to Friends, is a huge series that became a household name and ran for eight amazing seasons. The show follows the stories of four women who live on Wisteria Lane, a seemingly perfect neighborhood, as they unpack and discover plenty of secrets, romances, and domestic struggles.

The show won six out of its seven Emmy nominations just from its first season alone and its star-studded cast included Teri Hatcher starring as Susan Mayer, Felicity Huffman as Lynette Scavo, Marcia Cross as Bree Van de Kamp, and Eva Langoria playing Gabrielle Solis.

Let’s just say that Desperate Housewives *walked* so Gossip Girl could *run*.

So, what are the cast’s opinion on a Desperate Housewives reboot?

Although the creator of the show Marc Cherry has not released any official news concerning a reboot or reunion, it’s important to remember that 2022 will mark the 10 year anniversary of the show’s finale (!!!)

Some cast members have also been previously asked if they would be interested in playing their characters again, and it looks like we might have good news heading our way. In a recent interview with The Radio Times, Eva Longoria who plays Gaby (an icon,) says “I mean, we ended the series with [Gaby] going off to start her own business. So I’d love to pick up and see how she’s grown that business.”

If we got a Gossip Girl revival series last year, a Friends reunion, a Harry Potter reunion, *and* And Just Like That, then we can’t be far off from this dream.

Time to re-watch Desperate Housewives for the 1000th time.
