David Dobrik is a household name that we all know (and obviously love.) It wasn’t too long ago when the YouTube star came to our side of the world on a fun lil’ trip with his friends and other famous US faces. Jason Nash, Zane, Josh Peck, and Natalie Noel are only some of the major names that were in Dubai with David Dobrik during the holidays last year.
The famous personality with over 18 million YouTube subscribers came to the UAE as he was being filmed for a program with Discovery+ called ‘Discovering David Dobrik.’
From chilling with the Dubai Police and riding in a helicopter with Noor Stars to racing F1 cars and eating at some of the most well-known places in the city, David definitely got the full-fledged ~ Dubai experience ~.
Luckily enough for us, we got the chance to interview the hilarious vlogger about his UAE trip. Scroll down below to check out what he *really* thought of DXB…

Cosmo ME: The first thing I think of when I hear the word Middle East is…
David Dobrik: Ahead of its time. Everything about my experience in Dubai was like looking into a magic globe that showcased the future. Everything being built and created feels like
it’s years ahead of other places.
C: At the top of my bucket list is…
D: As far as travel goes, Dubai was at the top. Moving forward I’m really excited to see
Japan it’s another very unique and futuristic city!

C: The biggest misconception I had about the UAE was…
D: I thought it was all rules and no fun. Prior to arriving in Dubai, I heard there were many
rules and extreme punishments for breaking those rules. But, I quickly realized that
everyone was super welcoming and inviting and wanted to embrace us in their
culture.
C: Favorite Dubai memory…
D: Sidewheeling in the desert for sure. It was by far one of the coolest but most bizarre
things I’ve ever done. All my friends and I had so much fun.
C: Something unusual I saw in Dubai was…
D: A set of islands shaped like the world. I took a helicopter ride and got to fly over the World Islands which is something you can’t do literally anywhere else.
C: An activity I would recommend everyone to try is…
D: Skydiving in Dubai is unlike anywhere else. I don’t know of any other place where you
can skydive so close to a city or over a palm-shaped island, which looks SO much cooler
from the sky.
C: My favorite fan encounter I’ve had is…
D: Meeting people from my hometown in Kosice, Slovakia. I didn’t think anyone all the
way in Slovakia would know me let alone love my videos. It was such a surreal
experience.
C: If I could eat one Middle-Eastern food for the rest of my life, it would be…
D: Anything from CZN Burak. He was so sweet and his food was so great, unique and
presented in the coolest ways.
