Hajar Hiking Trail Dibba, Fujairah

Hajar Hiking
Hajar Hiking Trail Dibba, in Fujairah, is for the more advanced hikers. This steep 5km route, which starts near Dibba, has a challenging climb from the valley floor and leads along a twisting road to the top. The trail passes by old houses and offers a Âpanoramic view of the lunar-like landscape of the Hajar Mountains.
Wadi Shees, Sharjah

Only an hour from Dubai, this beautiful nature reserve has everything from mountain views to views of an oasis. The area is home to a beautiful green oasis that you can see as you climb the newly built staircase through the mountains.
Wadi Shawka, Hajar Mountains, Ras Al Khaima

Just an hour away from Dubai and it is a great beginner’s hike. Shawka has several varied routes. You can choose from a quick ramble or make a day of it and include the Shawka pools, too. The only tougher part is the staircases at the beginning of the trail, but we love a good workout though!
Hatta Wadi, Dubai

Hatta Wadi Hub has five diverse routes spread over nearly 33km to choose from. Hatta is Dubai’s largest national park, and with rugged hills and wadis, it is a photographer’s dream. The paths take you through farms, over dams, by the heritage village, and up to the famous Hatta sign.
Jabeel Hafeet, Al Ain

The third highest mountain in the UAE, and one of the most incredible hiking spots. This is another trail for the more experienced. It has amazing views and is an absolute challenge to reach the top. It’s only 80 km from Dubai.Â
Jebal Jais Hiking Range, Ras Al Khaimah

The UAE’s tallest mountain, Jebel Jais is split into two hiking areas. The lower segment has five trails for varying abilities, starting from 0.8km up to 6km. Check out the 1.6 km Sidr trail or 2.2 km Aspic trail for an easy hike. It is also arguably the most famous natural landmark in the country located in Ras Al Khaimah Emirate. 2 hours walking at a medium to slow pace. A very doable route and suitable for beginners.
 Wadi Al Far, Jebel Jais, Ras Al Khaimah

For one of the more challenging hiking spots in Jebel Jais, check out Wadi Al Far. A two-hour continuous ascent, this hike offers great views of the valley below, with a surprise picnic spot to be found at the top. If you’re afraid of heights, this one might not be for you. While it’s only a 5km hike, it takes up to five hours to complete. The loose gravel, sharp rocks, and thorny plants can make it a challenge.Â
