From romantic and hilarious shows to historical or mystery watches. Arab directors, producers, and actors alike have been working very hard to bring you some amazing Ramadan TV shows this year.

Al Ekhteyar 

Plot: This season is going to highlight modern Egypt and the struggles Egyptians faced while the Muslim brotherhood had control of power.

Actors: Ahmed Al-sakka, Ahmed Ezz and Karim Abdulaziz.

Alassouf

Plot: Alassouf focuses on important parts of Saudi history, from social issues to actual historical situations. This season’s main plot is going to focus on the outcomes of the Gulf War on Saudi Arabia and its citizens.

Actors: Nasser Alqasabi, Reem Abdullah, Layla Alsalman, Habib Alhabib, Abdullah Alsinani, Eid Saeed, Abdulrahman Alnafae, Remas Mansour.

El Meshwar

Plot: El Meshwar follows the story of a woman named Ensaf, who traveled from Cairo to Beirut and visits the Haddad family, in order to get rid of a curse that’s been bestowed upon them. This Ramadan TV show’s cast is 🔥🔥🔥.

Actors: Mohamed Ramadan, Ahmed Magdy, Khaled Anwar, Nada Bassiouni, Nada Moussa, Mohamed Ez, Tharaa Goubail, Mahmoud Ellisy, Sarrah Abdelrahman, Ahmed Safwat, Ahmed Saeed Abdulghani, Khaled Kamal, Caroline Khalil and Sama Ibrahim.

Skyscraper (Natihat Sehab)

Plot: The details of the show have yet to be released and the crew is trying their best to keep it on the DL, until it’s release. We’re excited to see what Suaad Abdullah brings us this year though!

Al Rouh wo Al Riah

Plot: Set to come back for its second season, this series focuses on the main protagonist, Amnah, and the struggles she faces within her family.

Actors: Iman Al-hussein, Heba Aldori, Yaqob Abdulla, Reem Arhama.

Suits Bel Araby

Plot: If you’re not familiar with the American version of Suits, we’ll give you a quick recap. Suits follows the story of boy genius, Mike Ross and star attorney, Harvey Specter. No one knows who’s playing who yet for the Arab version, but we’re fangirling over this Ramadan TV show.

Actors: Asser Yassin, Ahmed Dawood, Saba Mubarak, and Tara Emad.

Dayman Amer

Plot: Information about the plot has yet to be released for this Ramadan TV show, but we just know Cynthia Khalifeh is about to kill it.

Actors: Mostafa Shaban, Cynthia Khalifeh.

Rania wu Sakeena

Plot: This story talks about the story of a rich girl, played by Mai, that loses her father and inherits an insane amount of money. She has to now live through the struggles of what comes with money– fake friends and people who only want one thing from you.

Actors: Ruby and Mai Omar.

Ahlam Saeeda

Plot: Ahlam Saeeda is going to focus on struggles women face in our society nowadays but in the most comedic way possible. What’s a Ramadan TV show without queen Yusra?!

Actors: Yusra, Ghada Adel, May Kassab, Nour Mahmoud, Nabil Nouraldin

Jameel Jeddan

Plot: Created by Saudi writer and filmmaker Sarah Taibah, Jameel Jeddan follows the story of a young girl who wakes up after five years in a coma discovering that everything about her life has changed, but she’s still got to return to school and finish her last year.

Actors: Sarah Taibah, Saad Aziz, Ismail Alhassan

Rageen Ya Hawa

Plot: This Ramadan TV show is based on a radio series by the late scriptwriter Osama Anwar Okasha. The main character Baleegh Abu Alhana returns to Egypt looking for his inheritance after his business in Europe failed, but he finds himself responsible for another task; to reunite his family.

Actors: Khaled Al-Nabawi, Hana Shiha, Nour, Anushka, Wafaa Amer, Islam Jamal, Salma Abu Deif

Shoghl Ali

Plot: This drama and comedy will see Egyptian belly dancer Fifi Abdou and star Shereen Reda act alongside together, although not much has been leaked about the plot of the show, it deffo looks like a worthwhile Ramadan TV show comedy to us.

Lil Mawt

Plot: Back for a second season, this Lebanese series on Netflix follows the story of main character Hadi, his love life, and all the new drama that’s about to drop on our screens. We’re so excited for this Ramadan TV show come back!

Men Sharea’ El Haram Ela

Plot: This Kuwaiti Ramadan TV show follows the story of Karima, a dancer, who is attending a wedding, but then finds herself stuck and unable to leave the female lead’s house. She tries to take control of the household in cunning ways, and although we won’t spoil the rest, this series is for those of you who love a lil’ scandal.

Mnho Waladna

Plot: This Ramadan TV show follows the plot of two boys who were switched at birth due to a hospital error. Each of the boys live a completely different life, one is wealthy and the other is poor. The story delves deeper into their lives as they discover the truth of their switch.

Studio 22

Plot: When their network goes bankrupt, a team of misfits decide to take over the TV industry. The series is funny and comedic so you won’t want to miss out on this light-hearted watch.

Amina Haf 2

Plot: Main character Amina has come to a self-revelation that changes her life, obviously with this, her new reality follows, and so do the twists and turns of any Ramadan TV show drama.

Plot: This Ramadan TV show follows the story of an ex-convict that is trying to keep a low profile, but a secret from his shameful past creeps its way back into his life.
