The jaw-dropping moment at the end of Netflix’s The Tinder Swindler of Simon Leviev (Shimon Hayut) being a free man was a whole ‘nother level of crazy. But, the conman is now being sued by the *actual* Leviev family. Guess someone’s no longer going to be making up fake enemies.
So, what is Simon Leviev from The Tinder Swindler facing?
Lev Leviev, also known as the “King of Diamonds”, has recently filed a lawsuit alongside his family members Zevulun Leviev, Ayelet Leviev Jacobson, Ruthy Leviev Yelizerov and Hagit Sofiev Leviev for “false representations as being the son of Lev Leviev and receiving numerous benefits (including material ones),”
The Leviev family further mentions how Simon photoshopped their family photo “without permission” to pretend to be a part of their family, “He presented the ‘fixed’ photo to women and men as proof of being a Leviev family member, thereby making a misrepresentation that he is a part of the family, and did so to generate personal profit and mislead the public.”
Chagit Leviev, the daughter of Lev Leviev, said in a statement to E! News, “Shimon Hayut is a fraud who stole our family’s identity and has tried to exploit our good name to con victims out of millions of dollars. He has no relation to the Leviev family and has no affiliation with our company LLD Diamonds.”

The Tinder Swindler featured the three victims Cecilie Fjellhoy, Pernilla Sjoholm, and Ayleen Charlotte, who were defrauded by Simon for huge sums of money, and their fight for justice.
