Netflix’s The Tinder Swindler is out setting the wheel into motion with another true-crime documentary that has us shook. Whether it’s about the Israeli conman Shimon Hayut and his short-term jail conviction or how he’s still roaming free, we’re left wondering a lot of things.

But, most importantly, about where the *real* underdogs aka The Tinder Swindler cast Cecilie Fjellhoy, Pernilla Sjoholm, and Ayleen Charlotte are and how they’re working on paying up their loans.

The Tinder Swindler cast has even set up a GoFundMe page that currently has a £600,000 (Dhs3,005,359) goal to help the trio pay off their debts from the fraud.

Where are the The Tinder Swindler cast now?

Cecilie Fjellhoy

One of the first victims of Shimon that we met on the show, Cecilie lost $200,000 (Dhs734,620) but turned the tables on him when she reached out to the Norwegian publication VG and we *all* know what happened after that.

Cecilie is currently working in London as a senior UX designer for the company Sopra Steria and founded the anti-fraud organization action:reaction which aims to help victims. She and Pernilla Sjöholm are still friends and even went on a trip to Greece.

Pernilla Sjoholm

Pernilla was scammed for a sum of $45,000 (Dhs165,289) and is working on repaying the loans with Cecilie and Ayleen. She’s currently working as an independent owner in Sweden.

In March, Pernilla was in a lawsuit against the bank ING, who had wired money to Simon on her behalf while he was still under the fraud watch list. “I transferred all that money in 2018, the year that ING received a mega fine because the bank did not do enough against money laundering,” she said to De Telegraaf. In the court hearing, the judge ruled in favour of the bank.

Ayleen Charlotte

Not all heroes wear capes, sometimes they’re just on eBay selling a fraudster’s luxury clothes while he’s stuck in a one-star hotel. Ayleen is working in the high-end fashion industry and resides in Amsterdam, Netherlands. 

She recently posted a cheeky IG post with the caption, “Yes these are his glasses”. Like we’ve said, hero.
