Although staying home this Eid may be a bummer, joining in to watch a virtual concert is the best (and most unexpected) pick-me-up we need RN.

For those of you who miss watching live music, Flash Entertainment has put together a socially-distant concert for this year’s Eid celebrations. Bet you never spent Eid jamming to some of the UAE’s own home-grown stars performing online, right?

Not only is this virtual event free, but it is also raising funds for essential workers during this pandemic in partnership with Ma’an. Taking place on Monday 25 May, 8pm KSA and 9PM UAE, and in partnership with twofour54 – you’ll be able to tune in and listen to some of your favourite Middle Eastern underground artists.

Here are some of the artists that will be playing for this virtual event…

Esquire Middle East’s ‘Music Artist of the Year’ winner Layla Kadran has been trail-blazing throughout the music industry ever since her album Saved came out in 2018. Her smoky soulful voice with pop, jazz, Middle Eastern and R&B rhythms makes her an artist for all ages. We can’t wait to see her perform Goddess live!

 Danny Aridi

As one of the Yasalam Emerging Talent Competition winners, Danny Aridi definitely has what it takes to be one of the performers of this virtual concert. Not only is his guitar playing skills as good as his vocals, but he also wrote a song using only Netflix titles, which (tbh) is SO cool. He’s a multi-award winning artist for a reason.

Freek

Abu Dhabi born & bred rapper Freek has performed as an opening act for Yas After-Race concerts, SoleDXB, and countless UAE events where Hip Hop is the soul of the scene. His bars and flow in Arabic are unmatched, so we can’t wait to see what he’s got in store for this quarantine-concert.

Abri

Emirati soul sensation Abri will also be one of the performers for this Flash Live concert. With a voice that’s comparable to Frank Ocean or Sampha, it’s safe to say that we’ll be patiently waiting to hear his beautiful melodies online.

Moh Flow

Dubai-based Syrian singer-songwriter Moh Flow has a story to tell. His latest EP ‘Faith’ hasn’t been released too long ago but we’ve already got it saved & downloaded on Spotify. His Hip-Hop vibe mixed with lyrics that have meaning is what we love to see. We wonder what he’ll be performing from his latest album?

FAFA

One of our faves, FAFA, will also be performing for Flash Live’s Eid event. As one of the first Abu Dhabi-based artists to perform on our Youtube series, Shuffle & Play, we can’t help but be excited. Her soulful vocals and range in R&B music is exactly what we want to hear RN. We’re also (secretly) rooting for her to sing some Disney.
