Concerts and live music have basically been non-existent since the start of the pandemic, with only virtual gatherings (sorta) satisfying us music-lovers. We miss the days when we could dance and jump around outdoors in a huge arena packed with people, singing along to our fave artists. Worry not though – one of the Middle East’s most staple music festivals is *still* happening, and we’re beyond excited!

MDLBEAST is making a comeback.

This Saudi flagship festival has become a global music and entertainment platform since its launch in 2019. From MDLBEAST Records and MDLBEAST Freqways to MDLBEAST Frequencies, the company has continued to expand across different business lines like talent, content and experiences, focusing on Neo-Arab youth

What *is* MDLBEAST SOUNDSTORM exactly?

It’s a three day music festival in Riyadh which hosts 400K+ attendees, 80 artists, and 6 stages. It’s also iconic for being known as the largest music festival to take place in the region.

When is MDLBEAST SOUNDSTORM?

This year, the event will be taking place from 16 – 19 December. International dance acts and stars, to local and regional talent – you’ll be spoiled for choice.

So, who’s playing in the line-up?

The first line-up announcement came not too long ago, highlighting the major names that’ll be performing. Armin Van Buuren, David Guetta, Deadmau5, DJ Snake, Eric Prydz, Martin Garrix, Paul Kalkbrenner, Tiësto, and Steve Aoki are some of the international artists that’ll be there, in addition to Adam Beyer, Amelie Lens, Carl Cox, Charlotte de Witte, Jeff Mills, Nina Kraviz, Sven Väth, as well as homegrown regional artists including Anmarz, Cosmicat, Spaceboi, and Zone+ with many more announced in the countdown to the festival.

If this star-studded list is just the first line-up, then we can’t wait to see what’s more to come.

Talal Albahiti, COO and Head of Talent Booking, said: “We’re happy with the first announcement of the SOUNDSTORM ‘21 line up. We will soon announce a second phase which includes a wide variety of musical genres that will take attendees on a journey they won’t forget. We are ready to welcome all music enthusiasts to become part of this immersive 4-day experience.”
