For graduates and students alike, it can be difficult looking for jobs in a post-pandemic world. That’s why it’s important, now more than ever, to get your foot in the door, and what’s better than an internship to help you out with that?
This year, one of the GCC’s largest and most diverse media houses, ITP Media Group, and Saudi Arabia’s NEOM, have partnered to present to you an opportunity that you really can’t miss. The internship and training program will immerse young Saudi nationals into the media world. 35 participants will undertake an in-person, four-week training program, and 10 will be offered 6 month internships with ITP Saudi.
The program will begin in October and media consultancy company Amanda Turnbull Associates will be participating.
The ITP Media Group Internship 2021 program aims to give vocational training to students in order for them to widen their skill set, helping them to adjust and adapt to the fast-paced media industry.
The course will even cover areas including the fundamentals of journalism, multi-media storytelling and interview skills.
Once the course has been succcessfully completed, 10 of the participants will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge through a six-month internship at ITP’s Riyadh division, working on leading media brands such as Harper’s Bazaar, Arabian Business and Esquire Saudi.
Sue Holt, Managing Director of ITP, said, “This initiative will provide young people in Saudi Arabia the opportunity to be tutored by global media experts as well as have hands-on experience in the industry. We’re delighted to be working with first-rate partners in NEOM and Amanda Turnbull Associates to conduct such a high level of training in the Kingdom but, above all, we’re all excited to be working to develop the next generation of journalists and story tellers from the country”.
NEOM and ITP are inviting applications from Saudi nationals aged between 22 and 35 with an interest in a career in digital journalism. For more information or to apply please click here.
