OSN announced that they teamed up with Disney+ Originals to bring UAE viewers some of the best Disney originals and it’s safe to say that it’s been a whirlwind of nostalgic feelings. We’ve been thoting and bopping to High School Musical sequels and dare I say that we have also managed to escape to Wakanda (all thanks to Black Panther).

Forreal though, we’re loving this revamped version of Disney and you have to check it out. We’ve rounded up the movies that are definitely a must-watch (or re-watch) on Disney+ from the OG Disney classics to Marvel’s newer productions.

Home Alone

Back like he never left – our favourite mischievous guy is back on our screens. After Culkin’s family leaves him behind on their family vacation, he must defend himself against burglars.

Elephant

Narrated by the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle. The film documents the journey of elephants across the Kalari desert in Africa. This movie is so family movie-night worthy, it embraces the love and support of an Elephant mother and her son.

Queen of Katwe

Based on true life events of a young girl born in Katwe, Phiona who defiled all odds and went on to becomes a Woman Candidate Master after her victories at World Chess Olympiads.

Lion King: The Live-Action

Errr, if you don’t know or haven’t heard about Lion King, you have to watch it. Beyonce, Donald glover, Chiwetel Ejiofor. That’s all. Go watch it!

Black Panther

A comic superhero film about a fictional African country. Micheal B Jordan plays the villain Killmonger, Chadwick Boseman plays T’Challa, the king who fought to save his people from Killmonger.

High School Musical

Disney’s OG classic and one of Disney’s most successful franchise (thanks us). The movie, which focused on Troy Bolton and Gabriella Montez is filled with catchy songs and matching choreography. Oh, and lots of bright colours.

Stargirl

The newest Disney+ original movie Stargirl is based on the 2000 Jerry Spinelli novel of the same name. The plot is about being true to yourself, showing kindness to your critics and just doing you.
