Running has countless health benefits including physical and mental wellbeing and can be a real mood booster. It’s also great to get a boost of Vitamin D whilst running outside but please ensure that you are adhering to all community or gym guidelines.
Run 5k with Lululemon
Lululemon are known for creating the sportswear of actual dreams, perfect for a lengthy run. They are inviting the UAE community to join runners across the globe (virtually, obv) to join together at a virtual starting line to run a 5k Strava challenge together. Get involved with Asics
Asics have really done the leg work (LOL) in terms of running research. Their studies have found that 81% of runners say that it plays a key role in helping them clear their mind, whilst 67% say exercise helps them cope mentally when faced with challenging situations, such as the pandemic. Join the Run 1 Tag 1 Challenge
A challenge set by Global Running Day themselves, they’re encouraging us to run one mile for someone that inspires us, such as a friend, a family member or a pillar in our community, and then tag a friend to do the same and keep the momentum running (pun intended).

Run for Prizes with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council
The Abu Dhabi Sports Council is running a super fun event where the more miles you run, the more times you are entered into the grand prize draw to win fun sports accessories such as a running kit and fitness trackers. All you have to do is sign up for the event, connect either your Strava or Fitbit account to your inphota profile and start running!
