The capital of the UAE is still in lockdown, with new rules being announced every week (click here to read all about that!) However pools, gyms and malls have been opening up slowly but steadily. Abu Dhabi’s Deparment of Economic Development has just announced that entertainment centres and gaming halls can begin to re-open. Yay!Â

The announcement came earlier today, and was posted by the Abu Dhabi Media Office. The tweet captioned, “@AbuDhabiDED issues guidelines on the reopening of entertainment centres and gaming halls in #AbuDhabi, following the implementation of preventative measures. These locations will operate at 60% capacity, in line with limits set out for all outlets at shopping malls.”
For entertainment halls, measures will include: “limiting the capacity of ball pits to 30% and disinfecting all rides and machines after each use, including handles, sticks, steering wheels and buttons, and any tool or material touched by children.”
All employees will be required to take COVID-19 tests and constant sanitization will be implemented on gaming and entertainment centres.Â
