Despite facing a lot on social media post-Love Is Blind, Habibi, Mido taking to the podcast channel means there were many things that viewers missed on the show.
Taking the chance to clarify his experience in the experimental pods-to-romance show, Mido revealed some more deets on his previous situation with Asma.
Firstly, despite everyone (his friends and fans) rotting on their beds shipping him and Asma, he wanted to clear one thing, He said: “Asma and I? We’re good friends. We support each other badly.”
While many know and remember he regretted not giving his chance to Asma in the show, he wanted everyone to note they were only best buddies.
When asked whether there was any possibility of being more than besties, he said: “Everybody tells her and me that we are actually a great fit together. Maybe because we are the same height *chuckles*. Our sense of humour is also good, we can understand and be on the same page, but we are just friends.”
All in all, Mido, being the friend that he is, also vouched for Asma’s amicable personality. He mentioned to Hikmat: “She’s a very strong, educated and entrepreneurial character, which is an added value to any man, even for myself. The difference between the two characters is insane.”
Looking back at the pods with another of his love triangle between Khattab and Asma, he delved into his regret of never giving a chance to his fellow cast member. “I felt that I was unfair to Asma because I went out without giving her a chance to talk,” he said.
Hikmat even asked if Mido felt apologetic that he didn’t show he was fighting for her. In response to his question, Mido replied saying: “I’m not denying it, it was a huge mistake, I’m regretting it so much.”
All things considered, the pair make the best of friends completely having each other’s back — which we love to see.
