If you haven’t already heard, The Weeknd will be performing at this year’s Super Bowl Half Time Show (February 7th)!

This Half Time show is definitely going to be legendary… I mean come on, it’s The Weeknd! His performances are always amazing! BUT things are going to be a little different this year (despite the Covid 19 restrictions, which means that the audience attendance will be limited), The Weeknd is going solo! This means that he won’t have any guest act.

To be fair, an artisit like him, doesn’t really need any guest act, his performances (and concerts) are always *highkey* aaaamazingg! I mean have you seen his music vidoes for “Heartless“,  “Blinding Lights’ and In Your Eyes”? The videos all depict an on going story explaining why he attended events like the American Music Awards, and the Video Music Awards, with bloodied noses and a bruised up face (don’t worry it was all makeup).

The Weeknd to NFL Network why he will be performing solo, saying that “there wasn’t any room to fit it in the narrative and the story I was telling in the performance. So there’s no special guests'”.

I’m sure you are all wondering what he is talking about. But basically, the “narrative” he is talking about, is the story he told through his recent performances and music videos. A source told Us Weekly, that this is “strictly performance art”.

So this means The Weeknd will be going solo fo this year’s half time show…. and honestly we aren’t mad about it! (Lowkey can’t wait to see his performance).Â
