Everyone’s been wondering what’s going on between the two beloved Love is Blind Habibi co-stars Dounia and Chafic. After the first season aired in October 2024, people were all over the cute couple. After the show ended, we wondered if the duo were still together after they called off their wedding at the last minute in the last episode.
The reunion revealed that they were indeed still together and happier than ever. With a surprise engagement and lots of cute couple vids all over their socials, the couple quickly gained more and more fans and everyone fell in love with their content. Not to mention, fans were always wanting more juicy updates on their relationship, including when they would finally tie the knot.
After they recently stopped posting stories and content together, fans quickly went into stalker mode and it wasn’t long before they noticed a big clue. Dounia ditched her Dhs40,000 engagement ring.
This sparked sad rumours that the couple were no longer together. Dounia was also spotted travelling to Bali on her own, and Chafic wasn’t spotted in any of her content, which fans took as a sign that the engagement might really be over.
Now, Dounia has finally spoken out about these rumours and has cleared up a few things for her fans. In her latest IG story, she acknowledges that everyone is curious and wants to know what’s really going on, but she’s just not ready to talk about it yet.
She also thanks her supportive fans for supporting her and encouraging her not to open up until she’s ready. She has “a lot of love” for everyone who respects her choice to keep quiet for now.
Dounia also clarified that her fans are like family and that they started the whole thing (meaning her social media career) together. So she def wants to share what she’s been through and what exactly happened, but she just (understandably) needs some more time.
Following Dounia’s story Chafic also posted a story on his IG account saying he’s not ready to talk about the breakup yet either, but will soon.
