Love Is Blind Habibi cast members Dounia and Chafic recently got engaged. And because diamonds are a girl’s best friend, we had to find out more about their beautiful engagement ring.
The two had the most special and magical moment when Chafic got down on one knee and asked Dounia to be his wife again. When she said yes, again, he put the ring on her finger.
And ofc we had to get in touch with a renowned jeweller who could tell us all about this beautiful ring. Hiba Jaber has designed jewellery for Jordan’s Princess Ayah bint Faisal, Queen Rania Al Abdullah and Princess Rajwa Al Hussein. And this woman knows a thing or two about diamonds.
Cosmo ME asked her to give intel on the stone, the ring and all the little sparkles around it, and this is what she said.
Dounia’s engagement ring: What stone is it?
According to Hiba, the ring features a round diamond, colour G, clarity VS to SI, set in an 18-carat rose gold band. A simple yet elegant solitaire ring.
There are also cute little diamonds surrounding the centre solitaire to give the ring some extra sparkle.
The band itself features small pave diamonds to round off the look.
Dounia’s engagement ring: How large is the diamond?
The centre diamond is approximately 1 carat.
And all the diamonds surrounding the centre stone are about 0.05ct each, giving a total of about 0.6ct.
The 4 C’s – Cut, Clarity, Colour and Carat – were def met with this elegant engagement ring. You have chosen wisely, Chafic.
Dounia’s engagement ring: How much is it worth?
Hiba estimates the price of the ring with the centre solitaire and all the surrounding diamonds at around Dhs40,000.
However, Hiba says: “Diamond jewellery can really vary in price depending on the quality of the diamond, and it depends on who the jeweller is and whether it’s a high brand or a local jeweller”.
