We all love (or love to hate) Christine Quinn from Selling Sunset. The blonde bombshell has caused *quite* a stir throughout The Oppenheim Group and has left fans with their jaws open on several occasions. But which was the biggest Christine drama of them all? Was it when Chrishell called her out on commenting on her divorce? Was it when Chrishell and Christine got into a fight at the Series 1 pool party? We’ll let you make your mind up with this complete timeline of all the Selling Sunset drama a la Christine Quinn…

Series 1
So, Series 1 premiered on Netflix on March 21st 2019, but we aren’t really sure when it was actually filmed. Thanks to the rather unhelpful distinct lack of seasons in always-summer LA, it’s really hard to tell, but we’re thinking the back end of 2018 as a ballpark.

We’re introduced to Christine in the first ep of Season 1, and we learn she is best friends with Mary Fitzgerald, and former roomies. Chrishell then arrives, which doesn’t go down well with Christine, but the group agree to give her a chance.

It’s fair to say that Chrishell and Christine do not get on whatsoever, the series of feuding came to a head at the broker’s pool party with Christine screaming at Chrishell that she is “fake”. Chrishell ends up in tears and Christine shouts “I’m not a kiss-ass, I’m not fake, I’m not a pushover. I’m just not” as she made her dramatic exit. Mary then comforts Chrishell, which Christine does not approve of. Mary says to Chrishell “I’m good friends with her, but I don’t stand for that sh**”.

Series 2
Again we aren’t entirely sure on when this was filmed but we’re thinking it’s Fall 2019, and it debuted on Netflix on May 22nd 2020.

Episode 1 – Christine is engaged, but Mary isn’t in the loop

Christine makes a very Christine entrance, strutting out of a private jet and straight into a Rolls Royce. Christine spreads the news of her Valentine’s Day engagement to her tech boyfriend Christian and their travels to the Maldives, Bordeaux and Capri, with Christine’s supposed BFF Mary hearing the news second-hand. can just tell from this ep that a rift is growing between Mary and Christine. Davina tell the girls how she and her BF went to dinner with Christine and Christian and the tab ended up being $3000, $750 per head wasn’t the cost of a usual dinner for Davina and it becomes clear that Christine’s new fiancé has some serious cash. Fashion positive note: Christine rocks a sequinned gold blazer.

Episode 2 – Showdown between Christine and Chrishell

Mary says that Christine was judgmental about her engagement with Romain, branding it “too soon” but then got engaged to Christian in a similar length of time. But the main drama comes from the dramatic one-on-one between Chrishell and Christine, where Chrishell tells Christine that she wants as little to do with her as possible. The argument brings up a lot of Series 1 drama and not a lot gets resolved, Christine gives an apology (kind of).

Episode 3 – Christine tells Davina that Romain doesn’t want her at the wedding

Christine sticks up for Davina against Jason and Brett over her taking high-ticket listing, and Christine points out that if it was Mary doing it, they wouldn’t be giving her a hard time over it. Kinda valid point. Christine, Davina and Heather bitch about Amanza over matcha. Romain says he doesn’t want Davina at his wedding to Mary, and Christine says that she talks about people a lot but still expects to be on guest lists. Christine and Davina go check out her engagement party venue, and Christine also breaks the news to her that Romain doesn’t want her at her wedding. Ouch! Christine and Chrishell get into a debate when Chrishell says that any girl would chose her man being happy at their wedding over ‘the office’, but Christine snaps back that Davina isn’t ‘the office,’ she’s a person. Christine sends out her invites to her ‘sexual cocktail party’ engagement party. Wow that was a busy episode!

Episode 4 – At Christine’s engagement party Mary tells Davina she isn’t invited to the wedding and Mary says that Christine already told her

Chrishell is ‘touched’ that she is invited to Christine’s engagement party but refuses the invitation, Christine is kinda taken aback but kinda doesn’t care. The party is everything we could have dreamed it would be; fire dancers, a zebra, the works. Plus a delivery of red roses from Chrishell before the party starts; a classy, if false, touch. The main drama in this ep actually comes from the awkward moment Mary tells Davina that she isn’t invited to the wedding, and Davina says she already knows. Major awks.

Episode 5 – Mary confronts Christine about her telling Davina she isn’t invited to the wedding

Whilst at Christine’s $2.9 million Kings Road listing, Mary confronts Christine about her telling Davina she wasn’t invited to the wedding. Christine gets mad and says she is a loyal friend but Mary isn’t (refers back to Season 1 pool party when Mary comforted Chrishell), but Mary isn’t having any of it and leaves. Christine, Mary and Davina get together to chat wedding sitch, and Christine is annoyed that Chrishell sent flowers instead of coming to the party. Back in the office, Mary and Chrishell have a catch up and Chrishell asks Mary if she even wants Christine at the wedding, to which she replies “I don’t know”.

Episode 6 – Christine mocks Mary whilst with Heather and Davina

Christine goes blazer shopping (lol) with Heather and Davina and gossips to them about the Mary situation, even mocking Mary *SoOooO LoYal*. At a casual dinner at Jason’s house Maya announced that she is pregnant, and Christine and Amanza have a nice conversation, where Christine tells her to stop feeling bad about being late to the office due to her custody situation, and tells her she’s doing the best she can.

Episode 7 – At Mary’s bachelorette party Christine is accused of being ‘the other woman’

Heather tells Christine that Mary and Chrishell were talking about how legit Christine’s relationship really is at the big open house in the premier, and how there was a possibility that Christine was the other woman. Now we’re at Mary’s bachelorette party and Christine and Heather keep taking about what Heather had said about the ‘overlap’ between Christine and Christian’s ex. Chrishell can hear, and brings Mary in on it with Mary fessing up that it was her who mentioned there could be an overlap. Christine is angry, but drops it not to ruin the party. But you know we’re gonna hear about this again…

Episode 8 – Mary and Christine’s argument comes to a head

Here we go… Whilst at Heather’s broker’s open Mary and Christine go for each other big time. Mary said she had only repeated what she had been told by Christine, but Christine said it was judgemental. Mary heads out but Christine still carries on the conversation, saying that when Mary doesn’t speak straight she looked like a “f****** idiot”. Chrishell jumps to Mary’s defence, and Christine said she didn’t say Mary was an idiot, just that she looks like one. Ok.
Mary goes to her final dress fitting, and Christine calls in for a legit apology at which she says she was being a “total b****”.  She says “we should’ve just had a conversation… I feel stupid for that”. Girls, that’s not what this show is about!

Series 3

So the highly anticipated Season 3 brought all the drama we could ever want, and Christine was responsible for a very large portion of it. But where does this fit into our timeline? Using our sleuthing skills only reserved for reality tv investigations, we’ve found that Season 3 was filmed Winter 2019, between November and mid-December.

Episode 1 – Christine is described as “not liking drama” LOL

Christine’s birthday party (which was actually a very low key affair when you compare it to the very dramatic engagement party of exotic animals and fire eating dancers) takes place in a West Hollywood restaurant, and has a tarot reader who gives rather shading readers to the guests, minus the birthday girl who was super ironically described as “not liking drama”. Okkkkk…

Episode 2 – Christine tours Christian round her and Davina’s listing without telling Davina

Christine’s infamous ‘Botox and burgers’ themed open-house event goes ahead, against Monika’s input of a classier theme. Personally, I don’t think it can get classier than self-branded burgers – Quinn-n-Out was iconic! Christine starts some work-based dramz with close friend Davina when she tagged on to a whopping $75 million listing, and then brought her fiancé Christian to tour the property without telling Davina. It was super awks when the owner asked Davina about it and she had no idea what was going. Christine does get points for the sage green suit though, very chic.

Episode 3 – Davina confronts Christine

We all knew it was coming… Davina confronts Christine about her shady behaviour re the house tour. It didn’t come to blows quite how everyone expected, but it was a rare occasion to see someone stand up to Christine.

Episode 4 – Discussions turn to the possibility of some of the girls leaving The Oppenheim Group

Christine complains with Maya and Heather about Jason showing favouritism towards Mary and giving her the most listings. Christine asks Maya if she would consider leaving The Oppenheim Group, but – CUT! End of scene, obviously. This ep also sees Christine and Christian meet with their party planner for the first time to discuss their “gothic winter wonderland” of a wedding.

Episode 5 – Christine and Amanza get into a fight

Chrishell’s charity auction gives us some MAJOR drama. First there’s an argument between Mary and Romain, Maya discusses potentially opening a Oppenheim Group office in Florida, and of course, not wanting to miss out, Christine gets into a fight with Amanza. The whole fight is kinda pointless, and tells us nothing other than these two chicks do not like each other in the slightest. As if that wasn’t enough drama, we also get dropped the Chrishell divorce bomb at this party. This ep also sees Christine sit down and apologise (!!!) to Mary, who half-heartedly accepts the apology.

Episode 6 – Christine makes speculations about Chrishell’s marriage

Davina and Christine talk about Chrishell’s divorce news and make speculations about what has really gone on in their relationship. They say that Chrishell is too guarded and decide that they think the marriage has always had problems. Twitter backlash came the second this aired.

Episode 7 – Christine talks more about Chrishell’s divorce

In a particularly big bitch-fest, the office met up for dinner to discuss Chrishell’s divorce, most of the words came from Christine and Davina, with Davina saying “Mary and Amanza are die-hard Chrishell, and that’s fine. I would love to support Chrishell. But I have met Justin before. Justin was nothing but a gentleman to me. He was kind and polite”, and then added “he has to have a side of the story”. Mary puts them both straight, straight away: “there are not two sides”, Mary said, “the right side is Chrishell’s side because she’s our friend”.

Episode 8 – Christine’s wedding is here and Davina starts interrogating Chrishell

Christine’s wedding featured in the last 15 minutes of the final ep, with most of that being about Chrishell being sad and then Davina starts literally interrogating Chrishell about hearing “both sides of the story”, yes really!! Christine’s gothic wedding visions comes to life, with a black tulle gown, swans, faux snow, the whole winter gothic package. Christine later went on to say that she was disappointed in how the wedding came across on TV, “I’m not going to lie, I was crying when I watched it” she told People (see August for the rest of the goss).

June 2020 – Christine fesses up that she didn’t really meet Christian how she said she had

On the show, we are told that Christine met her now-husband Christian when she sold him a house, but Christine took the ITV’s This Morning to say that that wasn’t actually the case. “Well, actually, that was amped up a little. I’m not going to lie. I actually met him through a girlfriend of mine, but they spun this story that he was a client”, she said. “My girlfriend went on a date with him and she’s like, ‘Hey, I went on a date with this guy who I really don’t like. I know you’re single; you may want to go out with him.’ So I went on a date with him after she did.” So that might explain the overlap they were talking about…

June 2020 – Chrishell blocks Christine on Instagram

Chrishell speaks in an interview about her decision to block Christine on Instagram, branding her as “childish and ridiculous” and said that she was giving “toxic insults and toxic energy”. The actual drama that made her block her though, we aren’t sure of: “I have her blocked. And it’s one of those things where I think that does come across very childish and ridiculous. But I have the screenshots. She knows why she’s blocked. I’m sure she hopes that I never show you guys why she’s blocked, because it would be embarrassing to her”, she said. We need to find out what these screenshots are because we haven’t really slept since.

June 2020 – Christine has a lot to say of the editing process of the show

Christine lashed out against the editing process of the show, “I believe I went into Selling Sunset on day one and production had a perception of me. They wanted me to be the villain,” she told Cosmopolitan UK. “[There’s more to me] than that in real life. I want to be happy with how I’m portrayed – I go in and out of being OK with it. Some days it’s harder than others.”

July 2020 – Christine says she had Covid-19 when she got married

Remember in Season 3 when Christine felt nauseous before her wedding and was being sick? Davina suggested that Christine might be pregnant and Christine shut her *down*. Nothing more was really said about it, but she then opened up with Goss.ie’s Goss Chats that she had Covid-19 at the time, “I was really, really sick on my wedding day. I actually had what I now know is corona”. “I got really sick in late December and we were traveling, and I was sick for about a month when we were filming. I couldn’t even have a bachelorette party. I was so bummed about that because I was so sick.”

July 2020 – Christine contemplates leaving the show

Christine opens up in an interview about the possibility of leaving the show. “You know, Davina and I have had conversations, and Maya has had conversations, and Heather has had conversations, all together and separate…”, she said in the interview with Metro, “All I’m going to say is, it’s hard working for a man. It is. I’m not going to lie. So there’s times where we’ve definitely thought about doing other things”. She also added “I’d be lying if I said the show doesn’t affect our relationships. If you asked me a few years ago how it was like to be in the office, I would’ve had a much different answer”.

July 2020 – Christine says that Chrishell’s marriage had “communication problems” and they “were in therapy”

Christine spoke to Page Six about Chrishell’s relationship and divorce with her husband and said “we all just thought maybe they were having communication problems for a while”. “We heard that they were in therapy, so obviously there were some issues going on with them.” It would be fair to say that this maybe wasn’t up to Christine to comment on.

July 2020 – Chrishell brands Christine’s comments on her marriage “a complete lie”

Chrishell also thought it wasn’t up to Christine to comment on, and took to Twitter to brand Christine’s comments a “complete lie”. “I just learned Christine is giving press ‘information’ about my divorce. Let me be VERY clear. She knows absolutely nothing about the situation and is obviously desperate to gain attention by doing so,” Chrishell wrote. “Anything from her is either a complete lie or total conjecture on her part.”

July 2020 – Christine says she’s “so nice in real life”

In the interim before the Netflix on-screen release of Season 3, Christine opened up to Cosmo UK to insist that irl she’s not her Selling Sunset persona at all. “People are always surprised to find out how nice I am,” she said, “I think they watch the show and they have an idea [of what I’m like], but I’m so much more than that. They’re always like, ‘Wow, you’re so nice in real life!’”. She also added “People who know me who describe me as compassionate, loving, fiery. But also kind hearted”.

July 2020 – Christine confirms Karamo Brown will feature in Season 3

Ahead of the Season 3 release Christine reveals that there will be a Queer Eye crossover and Karamo Brown will feature in the upcoming season, “Oh, Karamo Brown is going to be featured in season three. He’s one of my best friends and a client of mine. So we’re going to see him, which is really exciting” she told The Reality Tea. Honestly who needs to pay someone for press releases when you have Christine on the case!

August 2020 – Christine isn’t happy about how her wedding was portrayed on the show

Christine says that she is “disappointed” about the way her wedding came across in the series. In an interview with People she said “I was a little disappointed. It just didn’t really showcase the way that it was. The wedding was the best day of my life and it was hard for me to watch it on the television show because that’s not really the way that I remember it”, continuing “I understand they wanted to get certain storylines in there, but this was actually my day. This was my day, and I was just disappointed in the way it was perceived on camera and translated, unfortunately. I’m not going to lie, I was crying when I watched it. I was like, ‘This is not my wedding, this is not my wedding’”.

August 2020 – Christine likes a tweet trolling Chrishell

Christine liked a tweet which called Chrishell a “sad excuse of an ‘actress’”, which read “I can’t stand Chrishell idk how Davina could sit there so calmly when that sad excuse of an ‘actress’ was like ‘I have a headache’ UGH I would have lost it”. After seeing that Christine had liked the tweet, Chrishell’s followers came to her defence rather aggressively. “I SO appreciate all the love you guys have given for #SellingSunset,” Chrishell tweeted in response. “That being said, some of you are attacking a certain person in defending me. I appreciate the sentiment because certain things made me mad too. But I hate feeling like someone is getting bullied”. The next tweet read “Want to help empower women and if my tweet has any say at all I just hope you can keep the passion but maybe minus the vitriol..? Love you guys SO much though and LOVE your enthusiasm! (Xanax) ”.

August 2020 – Christine says Brett has left The Oppenheim Group

Christine leaks in an interview that Brett has left The Oppenheim Group to “start his own brokerage”. We’re not really sure if this was Christine’s news to tell…

Sept 2020 – Christine says she gave Davina a makeover, but Davina says she definitely didn’t…

Christine is known for her very extra designer wardrobe, and told People that she claimed responsibility for Davina’s fashion glow-up, “Yes, 100 percent, that was me. I take all credit. I told her, ‘Listen, Davina, stop with the mom blazers. Please, let me dress you.’ She started coming over to my house, and I was like, ‘Here, put this on’ She was like, ‘I don’t know, it’s too sexy.’ I’m like, ‘Come on, just do it”. But Davina did not consolidate this story. Speaking in a new interview with Cosmopolitan UK, she said “Have I borrowed a jacket from her? Yeah. But she’s definitely not styled me or given me any makeovers. She likes to take credit, but I think it’s really clear that we have very different styles.” She also added, “I might have borrowed an outfit here or there, just because she has such a fabulous closet, but she certainly did not give me a makeover”.

Wow, it’s amazing this girl has any time to get any work done!
