Hot pink has been a major spring/summer fashion trend. From the Barbiecore craze to Valentino’s fuchsia-drenched runway, it seems highlighter pink tones are here to stay (we’ll blame Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie’s upcoming film on the famous doll for that).

And A-listers are wholeheartedly embracing the maximalist theme, on and off the red carpet, and we’re not mad about it.

So, without further ado, let’s take a look at the stylish celebs who have repped Barbie pink this year:

Barbiecore trend: Billie Eilish

You can always count on Billie Eilish to put her own irreverent twist on the biggest fashion trends du jour – but still, we *never* expected to see her take on Barbiecore. Seems like even she can’t resist the all-pink-everything obsession that’s been taking over the world in the run-up to Greta Gerwig’s film release…

To attend the LA premiere of Barbie, Billie opted for her signature oversized look in a pale pink pinstripe shirt, hot pink tie, black silky trousers, and the biggest trainers we’ve ever seen. We love the singer’s addition of a pink Vivienne Westwood handbag and sweet lil knitted leg-warmers too!

It’s a far cry from Dua Lipa’s *very* see-through crystal dress for the same event, but just as fabulous, TBH.

Barbiecore trend: Margot Robbie

This article may as well be dedicated to Margot Robbie’s Barbie press tour outfits at this point. Yep, the star of the upcoming film, Barbie herself, has been staying in character and delivering endless Barbie-inspired lewks on the pink carpet.

The latest is this pink leather mini dress layered over a mesh top complete with silver chain charm belt and matching earrings. The best part? Margot’s ensemble is an *exact* replica of an IRL Barbie outfit, specifically Earring Magic Barbie, released sometime around 1991.

Now that’s what we call commitment to a role!

Barbiecore trend: Kourtney Kardashian and Addison Rae

Longtime friends Kourtney Kardashian and Addison Rae are back together again, and ofc, they’re rocking the super-hot Barbiecore trend to celebrate.

In a series of sweet snaps posted by Kourtney Kardashian on Instagram, the BFF duo can be seen enjoying some much-needed girl time, hanging out by the pool in matching hot pink bikinis. Kourt, who is pregnant with hers and husband Travis Barker’s first child together, accessorised the set with a denim Prada bucket hat and sunglasses.

22-year-old Addison, meanwhile, kept her look minimal with nothing but an oversized white scrunchie on her wrist – a piece by buzzy independent brand Good Squish, that uses deadstock fabrics to make cute hair accessories.

Barbiecore trend: Margot Robbie

We weren’t joking when we said Margot Robbie’s press tour ‘fits for the forthcoming Barbie movie are pretty much the definition of Barbiecore. Attending a Barbie celebration party at Sydney’s Museum of Contemporary Art, she rocked a pink chainmail mini dress with a sweetheart neckline and skater skirt. Our fave bit? The Versace garment worn by Robbie was inspired by an archival dress by the Italian brand which was famously worn by Claudia Schiffer.

Barbiecore trend: Margot Robbie

Sporting another vintage (and pink, duh) look during the Barbie press tour, Margot Robbie rocked a head-to-toe pink look from the Versace AW94 collection, featuring a metallic pleated mini-skirt, a cropped jumper and cute lil cotton socks with doll-worthy heels. And if it all looks a little bit familiar, that’s because this exact ‘fit was iconically debuted by none other than Kate Moss on the catwalk some twenty years ago. What a throwback!

Barbiecore trend: Margot Robbie

Another day, another Barbie-inspired ‘fit from Margot Robbie – and she’s not letting her character slip even while in transit, it seems!

The star of Greta Gerwig’s upcoming film was every bit the travelling Barbie as she landed in Sydney for the Australian leg of her press tour, rocking a super chic ‘fit put together by stylist Andrew Mukamal.

Margot looked absolutely glorious in a vintage Chanel look from the SS1996 collection, featuring a classic pink tweed jacket, a cropped white bralette, grey trousers and the brand’s signature two-tone mules. Even Margot’s luggage was a plastic fantastic shade of bright pink (and it’s available to buy from Steamline now).

Barbiecore trend: Margot Robbie (again)

One of Margot’s first looks on the Barbie film press tour was this goodie of a ‘fit, consisting of a bespoke Valentino pink and white polka dot mini dress. With a cross-halterneck top that features a large cutout on her torso, the dress has major vintage vibes. Fitting, as it was inspired by an archival dress from the fashion house’s spring/summer 1993 collection.

Margot added white court shoes as well as pearl earrings and a pearl bracelet to coordinate with her ensemble, while a yellow shoulder bag provided a pop of colour.

Barbiecore trend: Gabrielle Union

Yep, the Barbiecore trend is still alive and well, folks – just ask Gabrielle Union. The actor stepped out in NYC giving serious Elle Woods vibes in her formal pink tweed blazer. She layered the jacket dress over a satin mini skirt in the same eye-catching hue, and finished her lewk with a gold chain necklace and brown pointed-toe pumps. This Barbie means business.

Barbiecore trend: Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra stepped out at the LA premiere of her spy-themed series, Citadel, sporting the most breathtaking fuchsia pink gown. The striking number features a subtle leg slit teamed with ruching at the waist and a long train draped over one shoulder. Of course, she looks *phenomenal* and even manages to perfectly match her lipstick to the ‘fit. One word: iconic.

Barbiecore trend: Emma Chamberlain

Emma Chamberlain shared pics of her new Vogue Australia cover wearing, you guessed it, Valentino.”SUCH AN HONOR thank you thank you thank you @vogueaustralia 💘 such a magical experience 💘” wrote in her caption. Friends and fans were very here for the cover, commenting “ICONIC!!!! 💕” and “WOW 🔥🔥🔥”.

Barbiecore trend: Zendaya

Zendaya wore this breathtaking suit with floral appliqué to the designer’s Paris Fashion Week show.

Barbiecore trend: Anne Hathaway

Anne Hathaway went legit viral when she stepped out at Valentino’s autumn/winter haute couture show in this sequin mini dress and platform combo.

Barbiecore trend: Lana Condor

To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before star Lana Condor attended the MTV Movie and TV Awards repping this neon three-piece coord.

Barbiecore trend: Lizzo

Lizzo’s skate mini dress and matching gloves situation is everything. Don’t even get us started on that high pony <33

Barbiecore trend: Simone Ashley

Of course, we couldn’t do this wrap-up without a very honourable mention to the caped trouser situation worn by Bridgerton star Simone Ashley at the 2022 BAFTAs.

Barbiecore trend: Saweetie

The same thing goes for Saweetie’s Grammys co-ord, which just so happens to be the exact same style as the one worn by Emma.
