Although everyone (and anyone) was paying attention to the gorgeous gowns that were worn at the 2021 El Gouna Film Festival, we couldn’t help but check out the ~beautiful~ makeup looks as well.

Between smokey eyes, contoured cheekbones, and the *perf* nude lips, the bevy of acting and directing beauties slayed the makeup game this year.

Here are our favourite beauty looks from El Gouna Film Festival 2021. We’ve even included product suggestions so you can recreate their lewks at home too. #you’rewelcome

Yasmine Sabri

Yasmine Sabri’s beauty is the kind that boy bands write songs about. She stunned in all her appearances on the red carpet and we have *major* starry eyes for this silver siren look. To recreate Yasmine’s sultry doe eyes, use Charlotte Tilbury’s Eye Colour Magic Liner Duo in black and white (Dhs130, Namshi). Line your lower water line in the nude shade to create the look of larger-than-life eyes. For her shimmery lids, opt for L’Oreal Paris Make Me Carame Eyeshadow Palette (Dhs 104, Lifestyle) and choose the light iridescent shade on the inner corners of your eyes to further enhance your eyes (and get them noticed). Lastly, for sky-high lashes, two coats of Lancôme Lash Idôle Lash-Lifting & Volumizing Mascara (Dhs135, Sephora) will do the trick.

Racha Ben Maouia

Tunisian actress Racha Ben Maouia looked fresh-faced with a natural makeup beat on the red carpet. Her nude blush and lips allowed for her eyes to be the star of her makeup show. For peachy nude lips like Racha’s, use Girlactik’s vegan Naked Le Crème lipstick in shade Nude (Dhs99, Watsons). Swipe Kiko Milano’s Green Me Blush 101 (Dhs59, Kiko Milano) across your cheeks for a chestnut-hued Racha-inspired flush.

Saba Mubarak

Actress and producer Saba Mubarak looked like an ethereal goddess on the red carpet. For a flawless complexion like Saba’s, first prep your skin with Huda Beauty’s hydrating Water Jelly primer (Dhs150, Huda Beauty) and follow with Fenty Beauty’s Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint (Dhs145, Sephora). Use Tarte Cosmetic’s Creaseless Undereye Concealer (Dhs100, Sephora) under your eyes and finish with Gucci Beauty’s Poudre De Beauté Mat Naturel (Dhs245, Bloomingdale’s).

Dalia Shawky

Egyptian actress Dalia Shawky smouldered on the red carpet with her smokey eyes and dark nude lips. To recreate this mega-glam makeup, use Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam II Mini Eyeshadow Palette (Dhs128, Bloomingdales) and Sephora Collection Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner (Dhs65, Sephora). For Dalia’s perfect pout, dress up your lips with Charlotte Tilbury’s Kissing Pillow Talk lipstick in shade Deep (Dhs160, Charlotte Tilbury).

Nadine Nassib Njeim

No list is complete without Nadine Nassib Njeim. This gorgeous actress had everyone’s jaw on the ground at the El Gouna Film Festival. To recreate Nadine’s gorgeous soft-pink glow, apply Dolce & Gabbana’s Solar Glow Universal Illuminating Drops in Sunlight (Dhs210, Sephora) to your cheekbones, cupid’s bow, bridge of your nose, and temples. For a diffused effect like Nadine’s, blend the liquid highlighter into your skin with a damp makeup sponge. Meld the highlighter on your collarbones and shoulders as well for the *ultimate* red carpet glow.

Tara Emad

Egyptian actress and model Tara Emad came, saw, and contoured. To create an illusion of depth to your face (and kill it in those selfies) apply Kevyn Aucoin’s The Sculpting Powder (Dhs184, That Concept Store) in sweeping motions underneath your cheekbones. Lacking in the naturally long lashes department? Fake it with Pinky Goat Reem Eyelashes (Dhs48, Namshi). Don’t bat your eyes too much or you may just fly away.

Asmaa Galal

Actress Asmaa Galal is as gorgeous as she is talented. We adore her coral cheeks and cat eyeliner. To add a pop of a peachy-pink flush to your complexion, apply MAC Cosmetics Cheer Up Glow Play Blush (Dhs130, MAC Cosmetics) with a fluffy makeup brush. We love using Tom Ford’s Eye Defining Pen (Dhs252, Bloomingdales) dual-tipped eyeliner to create the perfect winged look.

Huda El Mufti

Actress Huda El Mufti looked gorgeous in green. And ladies, we’re not only talking about her sequined top, but also her bold green eyeshadow. To recreate Huda’s alluring eyes, use Natasha Denona’s Mini Gold Palette (Dhs100, Sephora) to create your very own green and gold colour story.

Raya Abirached

Lebanese TV presenter and celebrity journalist, Raya Abirached, is in a league of her own. Her dark berry-hued dress *and* lips gave us major autumn feels. To add a bit of mystery to your pout, pucker up with Rude Cosmetics Attitude Matte Lipstick in shade Snooty (Dhs15, Watsons).
