Netflix is known to be at the top of their game when it comes to their originals, but lately they’ve been on a streak with creating riveting reality shows as well.

‘The Circle‘ is a perfect example of that. Looking into the ups and downs of social media, the show entails contestants being split up into different apartments and only communicating via The Circle, which allows them to chat with each other and make connections based on their individual profiles.

Our editor-in-chief, Milli Midwood, spoke with *the* Chloe Veitch. Not only did she place second on the show, but the enigmatic character was a fan favourite. She’s also previously been on Too Hot to Handle, another reality TV show we’re obsessed with.

The Circle USA was actually filmed in Manchester

Okay, okay. We know this may sound super confusing considering that there was only one Brit on the show but whilst on Zoom with Chloe, the Essex beauty revealed that “Netflix flew everyone in the cast from the States over to Manchester to film in the same studios as Channel 4’s The Circle”.

Shubham was Chloe’s favourite contestant from season one

And they both finished in second place, we hasten to add. “Shubham is my favourite, he’s a little sweetheart”, Chloe said.

Chloe still keeps in touch with the majority of the cast

“I still speak to everyone now and again. Talking to everyone is a bit hard because of the time difference and their busy schedules.”

The cast took PCR tests every four days…

Since the show was filmed in the middle of the pandemic, management took extra precautions – yep, even though technically they were all isolating in their own rooms!

The Circle chats actually took hours in real life

Given that chats play out in a matter of minutes each episode, we were just as baffled about this. Chloe revealed that one chat can acutally take up to several hours, due to the back-and-forth between the contestants, the producers, and the voice activation system.

Chloe actually preferred ‘Too Hot to Handle‘ over ‘The Circle’

“I do have a favourite. I preferred Too Hot to Handle, but only because it was in Mexico. I was sunbathing, I was with people, and I could interact with people and build relationships in person. In The Circle, I didn’t know who was real and I was paranoid all the time.”

In fact, she even joined the Zoom call with a full face of the Dubai-based brand! Favourites include the Easy Bake Loose Baking & Setting Powder, matte liquid lipsticks and Legit Lashes mascara.

“There’s a clip at the finale where you can see Mitchell and I having a deep conversation, so I think the world knows what’s going on with me and Mitch.”
