The sweaters are coming out, the AC isn’t working overtime anymore, and finally, Dubai’s streets are alive again. And we know what that means: it’s outdoor season, baby. While your group chat is about to blow up with “let’s go hiking!” messages, we’ve got something way better for the chill-in-style crowd.

Cinema Akil is back for its third season of open-air screenings at 25hours Hotel One Central, kicking off October 30. It’s magical movies under the stars and the planted clouds, heavy blanket weather, and snacks that’ll ruin plain old regular popcorn forever.

In honour of Spooky Szn, the October lineup starts strong. They’re opening with A Nightmare on Elm Street for slasher fans and The Addams Family for those who prefer their Halloween with a side of camp and couture.

Once November hits, things take a softer turn with Daye, a heartfelt Egyptian coming-of-age film, followed by City of God, the iconic Brasilian crime epic for true crime fans. Then there’s Hyper: The Stevie Hyper D Story, a high-energy documentary celebrating the jungle MC pioneer who changed music forever.

The 90’s nostalgia comes back full circle with December bringing back Home Alone, a festive season classic.

But what is a movie night sans the snacks? Lucky for us, Cinema Akil’s third season launch also marks the debut of 25hours Jump Street, the new all-day dining hotspot you’ll want to move into.

Open Tuesday to Sunday from 12 PM to 11 PM, the menu is movie-night gold: American classics like golden hot dogs in BLT and Philly styles move from Hollywood screen to your plate.

You can choose from a range of sharing-friendly snacks like truffle popcorn, gooey mozzarella sticks, cheesy nachos, loaded fries, crispy chicken tenders, and cinnamon churros that deserve their own fan club. Bonus: since it’s outdoors, you don’t even have to stress about your popcorn crunch levels.

Screenings run every night except Mondays, usually kicking off between 7:30 and 8 PM. The space itself stays open daily from noon to 10 PM, giving you plenty of time to hang out before the film starts.
