Bring on the cuddles, sapsters. Whether it’s toward your boo or crew, Valentine’s Day is the perfect excuse to act mushy to the people you love. Maybe you want to spend 24 hours feeling like the world is full of happiness and rainbows by sending modern-day love letters via text. Maybe you want to spend quality time with your S.O., pet, and/or maybe you just want to cry alone into a pint of Häagen-Dazs that technically isn’t a single serving but will absolutely be finished in one sitting. Totally up to you.

Fortunately, Netflix has something for your Valentine’s Day streaming needs…whatever those may be. We’ve compiled some of the sweetest, sappiest movies that’ll make you feel all the feels. Warning: You might want to keep a box (er, boxes) of tissues nearby. Sometimes the greatest love stories don’t have happy endings. The emotional roller coaster is REAL.

Stardust

A man goes on a quest to win the heart of the girl he’s crushing on by bringing her a falling star…but ends up falling in love with the star instead. (The star is a girl played by Claire Danes. Trust me, it makes sense.) It’s the magical enemies-to-lovers fantasy you need to be watching on Valentine’s Day.

Loving

History buff couples, look alive! This film about an interracial marriage that went all the way to the Supreme Court is quietly romantic with two killer performances from Ruth Negga and Joel Edgerton.

Single All the Way

The streaming service has become obsessed with making Christmas romantic movies recently. Like…I’m talking Hallmark Channel levels of devotion here. But outside of the Princess Cinematic Universe, they are building on Netflix, this is the movie to look forward to. Michael Urie in a friends romantic comedy? GIMME IT!

Howard’s End

If you’ve exhausted all the Jane Austen adaptations this Valentine’s Day, may I suggest E. M. Forster’s Edwardian romance? The hair is big and so is the longing.

Dumplin’

This coming-of-age movie is about more than just romance—mothers and daughters, beauty pageants, and Dolly Parton, to start—but I haven’t stopped thinking about the love story since I watched this movie two years ago. Two years!

The Holiday

Christmas wasn’t that long ago…and there’s something so romantic about the idea that all you need to do is shake up your routine and start over in a new place to find a perfect romantic fit. There are two love stories in The Holiday. It’s a bargain.

50 First Dates

Alright, anyone in need of a solid laugh-cry sesh needs to watch this flick, in which a veterinarian (Adam Sandler) falls for a woman who has short-term memory loss (Drew Barrymore). It’ll take you through a heap of emotions all while offering tropical paradise vibes.

Holidate

Two single strangers who have a mutual dislike for holidays decide to be each other’s plus-one for every major occasion throughout the year. Of course, this includes Valentine’s Day. If you, too, hate being single around the holidays and being stuck at the kids’ table, you’ll appreciate this one.

17 Again

This 2009 masterpiece has relatively the same concept as It’s a Wonderful Life but is centered on high school and basketball. The delightful cast—including Zac Efron, Matthew Perry, Leslie Mann, Michelle Trachtenberg, Sterling Knight, and Melora Hardin—is reason alone to watch it.

Hotel for Dogs

All the pet owners out there can honor their furbabies on V-Day by playing this heartwarming comedy. I mean, who wouldn’t want to run a luxe hotel for dogs in need? Grab a snack for you and your pet and enjoy the tail tale.

A Walk to Remember

It’s a classic trope: A cool boy and a nerdy girl fall for each other. This causes a rift between the guy and his “friends,” which leads to trouble in the couple’s relationship. The element this movie has that others don’t? A bangin’ soundtrack with songs from Mandy Moore.

When We First Met

If the friend zone is a category you fall into far too often, you’ll feel this movie deep in your soul. But TBH, it’ll also probably make you feel better about being friend-zoned by your desired lover in the end, so there’s that!

Someone Great

This whirlwind of a love story turned breakup film (and about finding yourself after a painful breakup) is best watched with a group of girlfriends. Oh, and grab some tissues while you’re at it.

Always Be My Maybe

There’s nothing better than a good, lighthearted reunion flick. Centered on two former flames who meet again 15 years later, it’s a great way to reflect on how people change over time and if you can deny an obvious connection. Spoiler: You can’t. Also, Keanu Reeves shows up, so you know it’ll be worth it.

About Time

Sprinkle some science fiction into your typical rom-com and you get this sweet gem about a destined love, many regrets, and, of course, time travel. Honestly, who wouldn’t want the opportunity to travel back in time and clean up their messes? Turns out, not everything can be fixed (cue the drama).

Ibiza

You know when you watch a movie with your friends but everyone’s talking over it and you’re sad that you’re missing what is probably a very good film? Well…Ibiza is the solution to that problem. It’s definitely funny, but it doesn’t require your full attention.

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before

Do you feel like experiencing every single human emotion in the span of an hour and 39 minutes? Well, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is the movie for you! But with your Noah Centineo obsession, you probably already knew that.

To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You

And after you watch the first one, the best use of your time is CLEARLY to immediately watch the second in order to find out what happens next with Lara Jean and Peter’s whirlwind ~romance~.

To All the Boys: Always and Forever

Of course, you have to top off your marathon with the swoonworthy conclusion.

The Kissing Booth

If you’ve already seen TATBILB too many times to count but you still feel like crying over an adorable story about young love, watch The Kissing Booth IMMEDIATELY.
