You’ve probably all heard of the *huge* auction bids on popular memes and videos that were sold as NFTs. Most notably, ‘Charlie Bit My Finger’ and ‘Disaster Girl’ were both sold for a whopping $760,999 and $500,000 respectively.

NFTs are taking the world by storm and celebs are joining in on all the fun. Here is a list of celebrities that have taken part in the NFT obsession:

[1]

Paris Hilton

In early 2021, Hilton released three NFT projects – “Hummingbird in My Metaverse,” “Legend of Love,” and “Iconic Crypto Queen.” – in collaboration with designer Blake Kathryn that were sold for over a million dollars.

She also went on to name her pets, Crypto Hilton & Ether Reum, inspired by her love for NFTs.

Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan’s first NFT sale was single “Lullaby” and she’s been a fan of NFTs ever since.

“The process of receiving royalties for your work is not the most seamless and there are multiple parties involved and many moving parts,” she said. “With tokenization, the process is transferred onto the blockchain in such a way that every time the art, music, movie, etc. is used or shared, the artist would automatically receive royalties. I think it’s a great way to bridge the gap between the consumer and artist.”

Most recently, Lohan auctioned a “fursona” (furry persona) as an NFT, in partnership with Canine Cartel.
