Think about the interior of your car right now. Does it look like you live in it or is it tidy and clutter free? Life comes at you fast and it’s one of those areas that spin out of control pretty darn quickly if you let it.

Now, before you come at me about nagging you keep your car clean there are a few good reasons why you should to help keep you motivated:

  • You save time in emergencies by not frantically rummaging through random possessions to find what you need.
  • In the event of an accident, less clutter means fewer flying objects that could hurt you or a passenger.
  • It can save you money. A lighter car means better fuel consumption, so you won’t be filling up as much.

So – how do you control the chaos?

Take out anything that doesn’t belong there
Clothes, shoes, take out containers (don’t act surprised!) – they all have to go.

Stop keys, coins and lipsticks from disappearing between the seats
It’s maddening when small items get lost down there, and if you find it happens regularly it might be a plan to install a seat gap filler.

Organise your boot
One of the worst areas for clutter is the black hole of vacant space at the back of your car. There are many storage options that will help tame the mayhem, which will actually free up space for groceries or your gym bag.

Utilise the side of your car seat
Keep the essentials to hand by turning the empty space on the side of your chair into nifty storage.

Finally, staying on top of your clutter will add to your peace of mind – and we’re all about rocking well-being in 2020!
