Shortly after rumours started circulating that Vanessa Hudgens and partner of eight years, Austin Butler, have split, the High School Musical queen (and our February cover girl), has just stepped out in one of our favourite looks of 2020. We might only be a fortnight into the new year and we’re already calling it: Vanessa looks RADIANT.
I mean, where do we begin?
The ivory couture dress, designed by Georges Hobeika, is literally all of our favourite things rolled into one. Feathers? Yup, heaps of those, featured from neckline, down the left sleeve, across the front of the bodice and over towards the opposing side:
Then there’s the jewel-encrusted bodice which is every bit as gorgeous as it sounds – ugh, love:
Don’t even get us started on this hip-high leg split, which gives the number a unequivocally fierce vibe:
Couple that with this pair of minimalist black heels and we’ve got a serious lewk on our hands.
In short, this outfit is equal parts extra, sexy and ~classy~, and we are sooo here for it.
Vanessa finished the look with a more understated (but still flawless) beauty look, including a luxe blow-out with soft Hollywood curls and a neutral lip:
What’s more, Vanessa appears just as happy wearing the dress as we are admiring it.
This whole thing is giving me life, and a much needed boost to counteract these early Jan blues. New year’s resolution: find away to bottle this mood and channel it every time we leave the house.
Forget BDE, perhaps 2020 is all about BVE (Big Vanessa Energy). I, for one, am down.
