If you’re as excited as we are for the Expo 2020Â Dubai, then do we have some good news for you.Â
With just three months to go until Expo 2020 opens its doors on 1 October 2021, PepsiCo, the Official Beverage and Snack Partner of Expo 2020 Dubai, has just revealed the first look at its three pavilions. ‘The Plus,’ ‘The Bolt,’ and ‘The Drop.’ The three one-of-a-kind spaces will be dedicated to PepsiCo’s global brands: Pepsi®, Lay’s®, Gatorade®, and Aquafina®.
It’s no secret that PepsiCo and Aquafina have already made their mark with the ‘Say Yes‘ challenge, championing sustainability in a fun and creative way, so we personally can’t wait to see what ‘The Drop’ has in store.Â
The Drop won’t just entail an Aquafina brand experience, but will also showcase PepsiCo’s efforts to help farmers worldwide with sustainable water practices, smart use of water in manufacturing, and the brand’s innovative efforts to reduce, recycle, and reinvent packaging. With roughly only about 3% of the earth’s water being fresh and drinkable, every drop counts. (Especially this one.)
Both literally and metaphorically, The Drop is designed to look like a giant droplet and is constructed from 41,000 recyclable aluminum cans. The pavilion tells a story of how one drop can cause a ripple linking it to how every one of us has a role to play to make an impact in the world. Visitors won’t just be enamored by the striking design, but they’ll also be educated.

Guests are welcomed with a stat that they and the planet are mostly made of water, along with various other facts about water. They’ll even be able to take their very own splash selfie which is a 3D-printed splash silhouette that make people look like they are getting submerged into water.
Fancy creating an Aquatar? You can do that at Aquafina’s pavilion as well. An avatar of yourself made completely out of water will be made, and will reveal facts about how important water is to your body.

The pavilion also includes an interactive sustainable water game where you can learn about sustainable farming operations, water access projects, and farming technology, making The Drop both an enjoyable and innovative call to action to make a difference.
PepsiCo’s Africa Middle East and South Asia Chief Marketing Officer, Mustafa Shamseldin says that “PepsiCo will bring its unique sense of fun to Expo 2020 Dubai, ensuring that every guest makes the most of this iconic world gathering. The Bolt, The Drop and The Plus are perfectly aligned with Expo 2020 Dubai’s three subthemes of Opportunity, Mobility and Sustainability and will showcase how PepsiCo will lead the world towards a fun and sustainable future.”Â

Pepsi and Lays’ ‘The Plus’ pavilion will also be communicating an inspirational message, similar to The Drop, about collaboration, positivity and togetherness. Located in the Opportunity District, The Plus will host a sensorial football interaction, while also displaying how Pepsi supports equal rights for women in football to achieve success. Here for it!Â

We can’t wait to visit all these pavilions! Obvs our first stop will be The Drop.Â
