Legendary American rapper and record producer Busta Rhymes will be headlining Sole DXB 2023, the region’s most celebrated youth and contemporary culture festival. Sole DXB is back, set to be bigger and better than ever on 8, 9, and 10 December 2023.

This year, the festival will be home to official celebrations for record label Mass Appeal’s ‘Hip Hop 50’ in the Arab world. For Dubai’s urban crowd, Sole DXB is one of the hottest and most-anticipated events on the Dubai calendar known for street footwear, music, art, and lifestyle.

Bigger and better for 2023

Returning to Dubai Design District (d3), the festival has joined forces with Nas backed record label and entertainment Company, Mass Appeal, as their official partner for Hip Hop 50 in the Arab world. Following last year’s impressive turnout of 35,000+ fans, Sole DXB 2023 is set to welcome record-breaking numbers to this year’s event. 

Its program consists of live music performances from world-renowned artists, DJ sets, film screenings, talks, workshops, and sports tournaments and serves as the premier experiential platform for the world’s top brands.

The event will return to Dubai in collaboration with its strategic partner Dubai Design District (d3) which is also the venue where it will take place.

Who will perform at Sole DXB 2023?

This year Sole DXB commemorates 50 years of Hip Hop with an incredible line up of regional and international artists, featuring some of the genre’s most iconic figures. American Hip Hip sensation, Busta Rhymes, will be headlining the festival on Sunday, December 10th. Busta Rhymes has pioneered Hip Hop music since the 80s, with hit records featuring Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey and Lil Wayne.

As of November 13th: Sole DXB unveils additional artists joining its already impressive line-up. Among the notable additions is the elite lyricist, Joey Bada$$, and Lil Zey, the first Turkish artist to grace the festival’s stage. Both of these remarkable artists are presented by Les Benjamins, the renowned Istanbul-based luxury streetwear brand which serves as a catalyst for cultural storytelling through the prism of design. The line-up will also welcome Soulja, rapping in his native Sudanese Arabic, and Ma-Beyn, the Palestinian-Egyptian multidisciplinary creative.

As of November 3rd: Joining the legendary Sole DXB lineup is Jadakiss, who is set to make his UAE debut on the festival’s main stage, as well as Tobe Nwigwe and Big Daddy Kane. Sudanese American ODDISEE will also take the stage, as well as Sudanese singer and rapper, Nadine El Roubi.

Other announced artists include Sampa the Great, spoken word poet Omar Offendum and this year also brings UAE Mixtape, a showcase of the region’s rap artists including; The Recipe, Tac, Tayeb Santo, A’Y, Maxi Zee and Moh Flow, hosted by Mazzi of Def Jam.
