In a state of abject woe and despair due to Love Is Blind season 2 being over? Devoured Bridgerton season 2 in a strong day and a half? Struggling to find something to do between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. while you pretend to be “in meetings” on Zoom?
Enter The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On, Netflix’s newest reality dating show that’s just as intense as the name suggests. If you haven’t heard about it already, believe me when I say that the concept alone will have you hooked. But if you need some extra convincing, The Ultimatum just happens to come from the brilliant minds that brought us Love Is Blind. Oh, and it’s hosted by real-life couple Vanessa Lachey and Nick “Obviously Nick Lachey” Lachey.

Most episodes of the show are now available for you to binge, so here’s everything you should know before deep diving into it (and your obligatory bowl of Cheetos that will accompany you whilst you watch).
HERE’S HOW THE ULTIMATUM, LIKE, WORKS
The concept for The Ultimatum is equal parts ingenious and terrifying. The show basically follows six couples, all of whom are thinking about/talking about getting married. The catch? One person in each relationship is all kinds ready to take the plunge and tie the knot, while the other has cold feet and might want to end things.
Over the course of eight weeks and ten episodes, each couple will choose a new partner from one of the other couples (gonna assume they’re all staying in a hotel together) and then experience what it’s like being in a brand-new relationship.
In other words, they’re going to find out if the grass really is greener on the other side. Some relationships will fall apart, others will grow stronger, and drama will inevitably ensue.
According to Nick and Vanessa (who spoke about the show a bit during the Love Is Blind finale), the new couples will spend three weeks living together in a “trial marriage” and will get to experience “two different visions and versions of what their married life could look like.” Sounds absolutely wild, and it also seems like we might get some televised weddings if the couples do decide they want to commit.
I’M IN. WHEN’S THE PREMIERE?
That would be April 6 (so, already released, bestie)—with a finale and reunion on April 13. Right now, there are eight episodes ready to stream, with most being near an hour long. Buckle! Up!
