Cosmo ME cover girl Karen Wazen’s self-named sunglasses brand, Karen Wazen Eyewear has made a huge donation of $10,000USD, AKA Dhs36,732, to a hospital in the centre of Beirut.
Karen, who is from Lebanon herself, has spoken frankly about her devastation of the horrendous explosion, and has thanked “every single person and country that has donated to relief acts to help the Lebanese victims restore their homes and businesses”. Karen has also been showing support to the country and it’s economy by posting images where she is wearing Lebanese designers, and supporting and promoting Zuhair Murad’s Rise From The Ashes campaign.
Karen Wazen Eyewear has donated the money to the Beirut Eye & ENT Spec Hospital which is an eye and ear, nose and throat specialist hospital located in the centre of Beirut with a full range of in-patient and out-patient services. “The number of patients from children to elderly that need care and surgeries, and who cannot afford it is significant” they wrote on their Instagram page, and also encouraged people to donate if they wish.
